In terms of appearance, the Model B front face adopts the popular penetrating design, but the lamp strip of the front of the car is not fully connected and is cut off by the lighting brand LOGO in the center. The headlamp group adopts a split design, and the internal shape of the headlamp group is the same as that of the lower grille, which is a gradual lattice style. The side of the car, which is strictly like golf, uses a camera rearview mirror, indicating that the car is not the final production version. In the detail part, the car uses a low wind resistance wheel ring, the wing plate is also equipped with ventilation holes, and the wing plate is also affixed with the Pininfarina logo, which is surrounded by the black body and the personalized C-column panel. The rear part of the car, which echoes with the front face, is also a penetrating style, and the demo video also shows that its LED taillights can show specific patterns, such as pedestrians passing in front.

Years ago, Foxconn founder and former chairman Terry Gou said at an internal meeting: "Apple cars are just four-wheeled iPhone. If we can build iPhone, why can't we build electric cars?" Now, Gou's dream of building a car has come true.

Foxconn, the parent company of Foxconn, held a Science and Technology Day in Taiwan on October 18, 2021, officially launching the pure electric car brand Foxtron and bringing three new cars, namely, the all-electric car Model C, the all-electric SUV Model E and the electric bus Model T. On this day, 71-year-old Terry Gou personally entered the meeting in a Model E, saying it was the best birthday present.

In fact, Foxconn's ambition to build cars was not formed overnight. As early as 2005, Foxconn bought a 100% stake in Taiwan's Antai Electric Co., Ltd., which is one of Taiwan's four major car harnesses. It mainly produces battery lines and car electronic equipment such as reversing radar. Since then, Foxconn has accelerated its layout in the automotive industry, including becoming a supplier to BMW, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz and other car companies, investing in Didi to enter the online ride-hailing industry, and investing in research and development of power batteries such as Ningde era.

In order to develop automobile business, Hon Hai Group and Yulong Group formed a joint venture "Honghua Advanced" with a shareholding ratio of 51:49. The two sides said that they would give full play to the complementary advantages of resources and jointly develop automobile-related business. According to Yan Chen Lilian, chairman of Yulong Group, Model C and Model E will be put into production and listed under the Nazhijie brand of Yulong Group.

Yulong Group, an old man in the automobile industry, is one of the Taiwanese automakers that has been established for nearly 70 years. Founded by Yan Qingling, an entrepreneur originally from Shanghai, China, Yulong Group has partnered with Dongfeng Group to launch its own brand Na Zhijie. Of course, Nazhijie's reputation in China is not good. Dongfeng Yulong, its Dongfeng joint venture company, went into liquidation in 2020, and its models are difficult to gain market recognition because of high fuel consumption and other problems. But even so, Yulong has more important value for Foxconn.

In July 2015, Foxconn also established Harmony Futeng with Tencent Holdings and Harmony Automobile. The joint venture incubated two car brands, one is "Baiteng Automobile" and the other is "Aichi Automobile". The brands of the two projects are independent of each other. the former focuses on the high-end electric car market, while the latter mainly focuses on the economical electric car market. However, due to differences in the concept of development, the parties eventually withdrew their capital and the cooperation was declared a failure.

In January 2021, Foxconn signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Baiteng Motor and Nanjing Economic and technological Development Zone. The three parties will work together to promote mass production of Baiteng new energy products and strive to achieve mass production of M-Byte by the first quarter of 2022. Foxconn will invest $200m in SUV R & D and production projects and will help build a supply chain for electric vehicle production to reduce car manufacturing costs, according to official disclosures. At that time, Foxconn was known as the "white knight" of Baiteng, but due to the deteriorating financial situation of Baiteng, the affiliated company Nanjing Zhixing New Energy Automobile Technology Development Co., Ltd. was forced to liquidate and go bankrupt by Shanghai Huaxun Network Systems Co., Ltd., and the cooperation eventually changed.

Despite all kinds of hardships, Foxconn's exploration and layout in the field of electric vehicles has never stopped. In May this year, Foxconn reached an agreement with Lordstown Motors on commercial vehicle manufacturing and joint venture development, and formally won Lordstown Motors's North American electric vehicle manufacturing base. In addition, Foxconn said that its PEAR model, produced in partnership with US electric car company Fisker at its Lordstown plant, is expected to be mass-produced as soon as 2024 with an annual production capacity of at least 250000 vehicles.

Liu Yangwei has told the media that Foxconn wants to become the Android of electric vehicles. Under this grand blueprint, Foxconn launched the MIH Alliance, a modular pure electric platform, which provides the industry with an open chassis platform and creates a new supply chain for the electric vehicle industry. At present, more than 2000 enterprises have joined, including Ningde Times, BYD Electronics, Arm and so on.

In response to Foxconn's layout in the field of electric vehicles, Liu Yangwei, chairman of Hon Hai Group, said that Foxconn's overall goal is to achieve a global market share of 5 per cent by 2025, with revenue of 1 trillion yuan and annual shipments of 50-750000 units. In the future, Foxconn's global vehicle manufacturing capacity will be gradually established, and the target layout of key components and software will also be gradually implemented with the vehicle schedule.
