AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/19 Report--

A few days ago, according to foreign media reports, the European Union Commission is launching a related investigation into steel car rims from China, aiming to determine whether Chinese car rim manufacturers have low-cost rim sales in the European market. If this behavior exists, the EU expects to impose a temporary tariff increase of up to nine months on imports of rim products from China and impose anti-dumping duties for up to five years.

It is known that the initiator of this survey is the European Rim Manufacturers Association (EUWA), who found that the European steel wheel market is worth about 1.5 billion euros (about 14.48 billion yuan), while the aluminum rim market has an annual value of 4.5 billion euros (about 34.43 billion yuan). They believe that this is a large number of exports of imported rims from China, occupying the European rim market and causing losses to the interests of European manufacturers.

At present, the complaints of the association are known to include distortions in China's energy market, steel overcapacity and EU trade measures.
