On October 13, Yu Chengdong, CEO of BU, Huawei's smart car solution, said in a video officially released by AITO that AITO should have delivered more than 16000 vehicles in September, but only delivered just over 10,000 vehicles, because the shortage of supply caused by the epidemic was blocked and finally affected the delivery progress. At the same time, Yu Chengdong bluntly said that AITO currently has the ability to sell 20,000 vehicles per month.
AITO brand is the latest automobile brand under Celis Group. It is jointly designed by Huawei and Celis. Celis is responsible for R & D, production and delivery, while Huawei is responsible for brand sales channel promotion. The AITO brand was first launched in December 2021, and it is also the only automobile brand entering Huawei's offline sales channel at present. It should be noted that the first model M5 of AITO was released in December last year, officially launched on February 25 this year, and delivered in March. From the timeline, it means that it took only more than 7 months for the AITO brand to achieve the monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles. At the beginning of this year, Yu Chengdong was confident that the annual sales volume of AITO vehicles in 2022 would reach 300,000 vehicles. Later, due to the influence of the supply chain of the automobile industry, Yu Chengdong revised the annual sales target. Yu Chengdong said that in the case of chip shortage, there are no 300,000 vehicles at all, and it is a miracle to complete 100,000 - 200,000 vehicles in the first year.
Up to now, AITO brand products on sale have three models: M5, M7 and M5 EV (pure electric version). Among them, the M5 was launched on December 23,2021, positioning intelligent luxury medium-sized SUV, selling price of 2598 - 331,800 yuan; the second model of the M7AITO brand, the new car positioning medium and large SUV, launched a total of 3 configuration models, the price range is 319,800 yuan; On September 6 this year, the first pure electric model under AITO brand was officially launched. Two models were launched for the new car. The standard version sold for 288,600 yuan and the performance version sold for 319,800 yuan. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models were available for power. Among them, the two-wheel drive version was equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 200kw, and the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive version was 165kw and 200kw respectively.
At present, among the three models sold by AITO brand, M5 and M7 are extended-range vehicles. For the preference of technical route, Yu Chengdong once again shouted the slogan of "buying fuel vehicles is better than buying extended-range vehicles". Yu Chengdong said that the extended range is "more convenient" and "better acceleration performance" than pure electric cars and plug-in hybrid cars. Even earlier, Yu Chengdong called Wen Jie "the only drawback is that it is too cheap."

For the appearance of Inquiries M5, the industry believes that the market response of SF5 generally fails to achieve the expected effect. With the launch of new vehicles such as M5, M7 and M5 EV and the growth of sales volume, Celis will also build a third factory to alleviate supply chain problems. At present, the factory has been started and named "Liangjiang New Area SE Project". It is expected to be finally completed in the third quarter of 2023, and the annual production capacity of 700,000 vehicles can be realized in the future.
