AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/29 Report--
According to the latest announcement of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. has filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.
Recall vehicles: a total of 18357 imported Audi Q7 and Q8 series cars with V6 gasoline engines produced from June 13, 2019 to January 29, 2021 will be recalled from December 26, 2022.
The reason for the recall is that the metal parts of the fuel pump in the fuel tank of some vehicles within the scope of the recall may be broken due to rigidity problems, and the debris will damage the sealing film in the fuel pump, resulting in uneven oil in the fuel pump or unable to pump oil, resulting in unstable engine operation and / or engine failure to start, in extreme cases, engine flameout, power interruption, and safety risks.
In view of the above defects, FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will entrust Audi authorized dealers to replace the optimized fuel pumps for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
In the first nine months of 2022, imports of Audi Q7 fell 53.2 per cent year-on-year to 6226, of which 832 were sold in September, while Audi Q8 fell 37.8 per cent to 2330, compared with 293 in September, according to new car traffic insurance data.
