Since SAIC GM Wuling launched the Hongguang MINIEV as a popular model, there have been more and more imitators in China, including Chery QQ ice cream, Chery New Energy Ant, Reading Mango, Punk Duoduo, Lingbao BOX and Scenic MINIEV, etc., and the price of the model is very close to that of the Hongguang MINIEV. From the perspective of market competition, the launch of these models does affect the market of Hongguang MINIEV in some way, but Wuling Hongguang MINIEV has become the best performing model in the A00 class market since it was launched, and occupies a large share of the market segment. It is not easy for these models to surpass Hongguang MinIEV in the short term.

According to the Federation of passengers, Hongguang MINIEV sold 395500 vehicles in 2021, up 250.7% from the same period last year; Wuling Hongguang MINIEV sales rose 15.7% to 297063 vehicles from January to September in 2022; and Chery QQ ice cream was 80744.
