The announcement shows that from now on, some imported Lincoln navigator cars produced during the period from August 3, 2015 to January 31, 2017 will be recalled, totaling 1356; some 2017 imported Ford Fmur150 Raptors produced between October 17, 2016 and January 20, 2017, totaling 588.

The reason for this recall is that the brake master cylinder of some vehicles within the recall scope is mixed with impurities in the assembly process, and the seal at the end of the brake master cylinder curls, affecting the sealing performance of the brake master cylinder. as a result, the brake fluid in the front wheel circuit of the brake master cylinder may leak to the brake booster, resulting in the reduction of the front wheel braking performance, the prolongation of the braking distance, the increase of the risk of vehicle collision and the existence of safety risks.

In view of the above defects, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will entrust Ford China and Lincoln brand authorized dealers to replace the improved brake master cylinder for vehicles within the recall range free of charge; if there are signs of leakage between the brake master cylinder and the brake booster, replace the brake booster to eliminate safety risks.

According to automotive industry concerns, Lincoln navigator was first born in 1997, is Lincoln's first SUV, based on Ford Conqueror. The first generation of navigators withdrew from the market in 2002, and the second generation of navigators came on the market the following year. The power side was equipped with a 5.4L V8 SOHC naturally aspirated engine. Later, due to the high cost, it was changed to the 5.4L V8 SOHC naturally aspirated engine of the Ford Fmuri 150 and replaced with a 6AT gearbox. The third-generation navigator went public in 2006 and ushered in a mid-term change in 2014, when Lincoln officially entered the Chinese market, and the navigator entered the Chinese market as Lincoln's new flagship SUV at a price of 1.1888 million yuan. The fourth-generation navigator was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in 2017, and then launched in the Chinese market in January 2018, with a total of two models priced between 1.128 million and 1.228 million yuan. On July 29, 2022, the mid-term revamped model of the fourth-generation navigator was officially launched, and the new car launched only one model with a 3.5T V6 engine at a price of 1.428 million yuan.
