The HKIFA believes that the trend of new energy vehicles and traditional fuel vehicles in October has been affected by epidemic prevention measures in individual areas, and the situation of shop closure is more prominent. However, independent brands continued to maintain sales growth, with their retail market share exceeding 50% for the first time, compared with 51.5% in October and 47.0% in September, up 6% from a year earlier and 4.5% month-on-month. In October, BYD's sales hit another all-time high, up 134.6 per cent from a year earlier to 205789 vehicles. Previously, BYD had conservatively set a sales target of 1.5 million vehicles in 2022, but in the first three quarters of this year, BYD had achieved 78% of its annual target. BYD only needs to sell 110000 vehicles a month in the fourth quarter to easily meet its full-year target, while at the level of 280000 vehicles per month, BYD is likely to hit the annual delivery data of 2 million vehicles.
As Great Wall's best-selling model, the Harvard H6 sold 26580 new cars in October, ranking fifth on the list of independent models and the highest-selling autonomous pure fuel vehicle. Although it is the highest-selling pure fuel vehicle, compared with the previous annual sales of 400000, the Harvard H6 has fallen to the altar, with a cumulative sales of 213321 in the first ten months. Other products such as first Love, Red Rabbit, Immortals and Beasts, KuGou are unable to carry the banner. In addition, sales of Wei brand mocha, latte and macchiato are so poor that Great Wall can only rely on tank brands to narrow the market gap, with 9182 tanks sold in October, second only to Harvard H6 and Haverdog.
Geely has sold more than 10,000 models, namely Dihao (16018), Xingrui (14506), Xingyue L (14252) and Qiyue (14221). At present, more and more Geely models begin to "L". On October 26th, the compact SUV Boyue L based on CMA architecture was officially launched, with a total of six new models with a price range of 12.57-170700 yuan. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with 2.0T and 1.5T four-cylinder engines, matching a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. In addition, on November 8, Geely Haoyue L was officially unveiled. The new car adopts a new design style and is fully longer than the current Haoyue model. It is expected to be available this year. On November 10, the Jiaji L was unveiled at the 2022 Tianjin Auto Show. As an "L" version, its body length increased by 120mm compared with the current model, and adopted a seven-seat layout, with a price range of 11.98-142800 yuan.
Second only to BYD and Geely, Changan has two passenger car brands, Changan and Auchan, and has sold more than 10,000 models this month, of which the highest selling model is still CS75 PLUS, which is still 16350, the newly launched UNI-V is 12861, Changan Yiyou and CS55 PLUS are 12625 and 11576 respectively.
The ideal L9 is the only large SUV on the list, delivering 9181 vehicles in October. It is understood that the ideal L9 was officially released and listed on June 21. It is the second production car of the ideal car with a price of 459800 yuan. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5218/1998/1800mm, and the wheelbase is 3105mm, which is similar to that of BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz. At present, the ideal L9 has become the sales responsibility of the ideal car.
The M7, the second production car under the AITO brand, was officially launched on July 4. The new car is located in a medium and large SUV with a price range of 31.98 to 379800 yuan. A total of 5226 models were sold in October. However, the fuel vehicle market still faces the problem of insufficient purchasing power of consumers, and the purchasing pressure of ordinary consumer groups is greater. It said that the fuel vehicle market should continue to be developed, which belongs to the demand for livelihood models, and new energy vehicles are improved demand for additional purchases. At present, the consumer demand of low-income first-purchase groups has yet to be released, and the policy should be more strongly skewed towards fuel vehicles.
