On the side of the body, the overall outline of the new car is square, equipped with hidden door handles, chrome-plated door trim bars, electric pedals and four styles of sports rims. In addition, the new car also sets the watchtower lidar on the roof to reduce the risk of collision damage. The declaration information shows that the design is provided as an option, while the "drum bag" design is cancelled directly on the roof of the lidar-free model. Different from the ideal L8, the new car is located in a large five-seat SUV, eliminating the third row of seats, so the line on the roof will be more downward. In the rear part, the new car taillight adopts the through-type design that echoes with the headlights, and carries on the fumigation treatment to further enhance the sports atmosphere of the whole vehicle.

In the interior part, the new car is also highly similar to the ideal L8, with a 15.7-inch central control screen and a 15.7-inch passenger entertainment screen. The interior is available in black and white, black and orange.

Generally speaking, the appearance and interior design of the ideal L7 is basically the same as that of the ideal L8. The biggest difference is that in the body size, the ideal L7 is located in a large five-seat SUV, the specific dimensions are 5050/1995/1750mm, width and height, and the wheelbase is 3005mm. While the ideal L8 positioning in the large six-seat SUV, the specific size is 5080/1995/1800mm, the wheelbase is 3005mm, by contrast, the width and wheelbase of the two vehicles remain unchanged, but the length of the new car is shortened by 30mm and the height is reduced by 50mm. The new car can be regarded as an ideal L8 for a smaller version.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with an incremental hybrid system, which is composed of a 1.5T extender and an intelligent four-wheel drive system with two front and rear motors, equipped with a 42.8kWh battery pack, the officially announced pure electric mileage 210km under CLTC operating conditions, a comprehensive mileage of 1315km and an acceleration time of 5.5s for 100 kilometers.

Up to now, ideal car's products include ideal L9, ideal L8 and ideal L7. Among them, ideal L9 is the second mass production model under ideal Automobile, which went on sale on June 21 with a price of 459800 yuan. Ideal Automobile founder Li Xiang positioned it as "the best household flagship SUV within 5 million". The ideal L8 is the replacement of the ideal ONE, the first model of the ideal car. on September 30, it launched a total of two models with a price range of 35.98-399800. On the same day, Li wanted to say: "the ideal L8 redefines the six-seat deluxe medium and large SUV, which is the first choice for the six-seat deluxe medium and large SUV within 400000. The Pro model is the top match, and the Max model is in Yunxiao. There is no such car in the world before." The car is expected to reverse the decline in delivery.

Data show that from January to October this year, the cumulative sales of ideal cars was 97979, ranking between Xiaopeng (103654) and Xilai (92493). Among them, the number of ideal cars increased by 31.4% to 10052 in October compared with the same period last year, with a gap of only 7. With the exposure of the declaration chart, it means that the ideal L7 will be available soon. According to the plan, the ideal L7 will be delivered in February 2023, and the emergence of the ideal L7 will further improve the product rectangle of the ideal car, but considering that the design style of the ideal car on sale is basically the same, and there is little difference in the price, it remains to be seen whether the arrival of the ideal L7 can make the overall sales of the ideal car climb to another tall building.
