Combining the logo of the new car tail mark "# 3" and the naming rules of the first model of the smart brand, it is expected that the new car will be named "smart Spirit # 3".

The declaration information shows that the appearance of the new car adopts the family design style of the smart brand, and the overall design of the front face is very similar to the smart wizard # 1. The popular LED daytime driving lights are integrated with the headlights on both sides, and the brand LOGO is located on the front wing. The front enclosure also uses a large trapezoidal grille, but the inlet tilt angle in the fog lamp area on both sides is larger and the visual effect is also slender. On the side of the body, the new car uses a slippery back shape, and the roof creates a suspended design feeling. The rear part of the car also almost maintains the same design style of smart Wizard # 1, using a penetrating design that echoes the front face, with the words "# 3" and "spirit" on the back.

According to the declaration information, the new car will offer a variety of options for consumers to choose from, including sports kits, spoilers, privacy glass, different colors of the body. In addition, the new car also provides traction devices, meaning the new car may be a towing qualified model, with four different shapes available on the wheels, including the "pie hub" style.

In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4400 (4542) / 1844 / 1556mm, a wheelbase of 2785mm, a slightly larger overall size than smart Wizard # 1, and is expected to be higher than smart Wizard # 1, or positioning compact SUV. For comparison, the smart wizard # 1 is 4290/1910/1698mm in length, width and height, and 2750mm in wheelbase.

In terms of power, the ordinary version of the new car is equipped with a single motor, the maximum power is 200kW, while the performance version is equipped with double motors, the maximum power is 115kW, 200kW, and the comprehensive power is 315kW.

The smart brand originates from the German Mercedes-Benz intelligent pure electric car brand, which was founded in 1994. The global joint venture company is jointly owned by Mercedes-Benz and Geely Automobile Group, aiming to build smart into the world's leading high-end electric smart car brand. Although the smart brand has the Mercedes-Benz gene, due to the product positioning and price and other reasons, the global awareness of the smart brand is not high, and the sales data are also very common. Smart Spirit # 1 was launched on June 6, 2022. The car was positioned as an electric mini SUV and launched three models with a price range of 18.16 yuan to 226600 yuan at that time. Later, due to the rise in global raw material prices, smart China announced that the retail price of the smart Spirit # 1 Premium configuration model would be increased by 5800 yuan, while the prices of the other two versions remained unchanged. Smart Genie # 1 is the first mass production model launched after the electrification transformation of the smart brand. Mercedes-Benz is in charge of vehicle design, smart R & D team leads engineering research and development, based on SEA vast architecture, power is equipped with single-motor rear-drive layout, motor type is permanent magnet synchronous motor, maximum power is 272hp, peak torque is 343Nm, and comprehensive mileage can reach 535km and 560km under CLTC conditions.

In addition, on November 18, the new smart Genie # 1 Pulse heart version was officially launched, with a retail price of 229000 yuan, powered by 66kWh ternary lithium batteries and a CLTC mileage of 535km.

Data show that a total of 1629 new smart elf # 1 were delivered in China in October 2022, an increase of 287% over the previous month, while officials had previously said that two days after the launch of the smart elf # 1, the order had exceeded the output of 2022, and sales were quite hot. If nothing happens, the new car will be the second model after the electrification transformation of the smart brand. According to the previous product plan of the smart brand, the new car is expected to go on sale in 2023. As to whether it can continue the hot sales performance of smart Genie # 1, it will take time to answer.
