In the middle of the year, when the spy photo of the new Accord was exposed, there was a strong discussion in the car circle, with mixed comments on its new design. As a new generation of models, its overall shape looks more athletic and youthful, with a hexagonal forward air grille on the front face, the interior of the grille filled with triangular gridding elements, and the interior of the headlight group connected with it with a single banner LED daytime driving lights. Interior decoration, the eleventh generation Accord overall design is not amazing, but expected, it is more like a large "Civic". The new car is equipped with a 10.2-inch LCD dashboard and a 12.3 suspended central control screen, which is by far the largest of all Honda family models. It should be noted that the 12.3in suspension central control screen is not a new standard, the low-equipped model central control screen size is only 7 inches, but the new standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interconnection. In terms of power, the new Accord also lacks surprises, providing 1.5T fuel power and the fourth generation 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system, with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 192hp and peak torque of 260Nm, matched with a CVT gearbox; a 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system with a maximum power of 204hp and a peak torque of 335Nm, matched with an E-CVT gearbox.

As a classic Honda car, Accord has a history of 38 years. In 1994, the fifth generation Honda Accord came to China by way of import. in order to meet the needs of domestic consumers, the domestic Accord model also added a special model with 2.2L engine and leather seats.

On July 1, 1998, Guangzhou Automobile Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. (formerly Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.) was formally established as a joint venture company jointly funded by Guangzhou Automobile Group and Honda Technology Research Industrial Co., Ltd., each holding 50% of the shares. The term of cooperation is 30 years. The following year, GAC Honda introduced the sixth generation Accord into domestic production, becoming the first domestic model under GAC Honda. The sixth generation Accord has been produced for three years. Up to now, Accord development has gone through ten update iterations. The tenth generation Accord was listed in China on April 16, 2018, and the tenth generation mid-term modified model was launched on October 9, 2021, with a price of 16.98-259800 yuan.

At present, what is being sold in the domestic market is the mid-term change of the tenth generation Accord, although it is at the end of the product period, but its sales performance is still strong. As a medium-sized car under GAC Honda, Accord's competitors are aimed at Nissan Teana, Toyota Camry and other models, the gap between these three models in the market is not very big, basically maintained at more than 10,000 vehicles, but in terms of sales in 2022, Accord is between Camry and Teana. Data show that Accord sold a total of 178800 vehicles from January to October 2022, compared with 196300 for Camry and 131200 for Teana.

The eleventh generation Accord, in fact, is more like a mid-term modification, and its biggest change is its appearance, which adopts the design style of Civic, CR-V and other models, and becomes more sporty and modern. This change makes the car subject to intense discussion and criticism, but if it will have a greater impact on sales, chances are not.
