On November 21, Chery Jaguar Land Rover officially announced the launch of its new range Rover Aurora L. The new car has launched a total of five models with a price range of 38.98 yuan to 473800 yuan. As a mid-year revamped model, compared with the old model, the new 2.0T light hybrid deluxe version canceled the British treasure stereo, while the luxury version changed from 15 speakers to 12 speakers, but the price of the model was reduced by 4800 yuan and 2000 yuan respectively.

In terms of appearance, the new car basically continues the design style of the old model, with a slender honeycomb grille on the front face, full LED headlights on both sides, and a "RANGE ROVER" logo on the top of the net, with a strong overall recognition. On the side of the body, the shape of the new car is more plump, and the multi-waistline design with slightly protruding wheel arches and large-size multi-spoke rims highlights the sports flavor of the new car. In the rear part, the shape of the new car is relatively simple, and the taillights are also matched with the LED light source taillight group, which is connected with the through-type black decoration board. In addition, the new car spare roof spoiler, wide rear surround components combined with bright black trim panel embellishment, so that the whole car looks more rigid flavor. In terms of body size, auroral L length, width and height are 4531/1904/1650mm, wheelbase is 2841mm, positioning medium-sized SUV.

In the interior part, the new car is still designed in the style of the Land Rover family, with a 12.3-inch full liquid crystal virtual cockpit, a 10.2-inch upper central touch display screen and a 10.2-inch lower central touch display screen. Among them, the entry version adds functions such as key-free entry and lane maintenance assistance, and the top luxury version adds rear soft pillows, 10-color atmosphere lights, front-row wireless charging and the second-generation sports key bracelet.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with 2.0T+48V light mixing system and 1.5T plug-in hybrid version, of which the maximum power of 2.0T engine + 48V light mixing system is 200hp and 249hp respectively, and the peak torque is 320Nm and 365Nm, matching 9-speed manual integrated transmission; 1.5T plug-in hybrid version is equipped with 1.5T engine and motor combination, maximum power 227kW (309hp), peak torque 540Nm.

In terms of market competition, considering the positioning and price of the new car, the new car will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLC L (40.63-476800) and Audi Q5L (39.68-488800).

The range Rover Aurora (Evoque) is the most compact SUV in the Land Rover brand, with a slightly higher positioning than the Freelander series. Land Rover Evoque made its global debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show in December 2010 and named it "range Rover Aurora" in Chinese. Range Rover Aurora officially entered the Chinese market in the second half of 2011, with a price range of 52.80-638000, divided into two body forms: three-door version and five-door version. Since then, Land Rover launched the Victorian limited edition aurora model in 2012, with no difference in power performance from the ordinary version, but the interior is more luxurious and elegant, priced at 988900.

With the release of the second-generation range Rover Aurora in 2018, the domestic range Rover Aurora L is based on the second-generation range Rover Aurora. The range Rover Aurora L is a branch of the range Rover series of Land Rover. This year, the new car is only adjusted for the configuration of some models, but the price has been reduced, and the performance of the subsequent listing remains to be verified.

From January to October this year, Chery Jaguar Land Rover sold 40611 vehicles, of which range Rover Aurora sold 11572, accounting for 28.49 per cent of total sales, according to data on new car traffic insurance purchases.
