Today, the car quality website released the latest list of complaint models in November. according to the top 15 on the complaint list, the models complained about are FAW Toyota Crown, Xingyue L, FAW Toyota Ruizhi, Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi, Ruihu 8, Volvo XC60, Mercedes-Benz E-Star, BYD PLUS, Changan Deep Blue SL03, Dongfeng Nissan Teana, FAW Toyota Corolla, Crown Lufang, Harvard F7, Lei Ling and Hanlanda. Among them, the most serious complaint is FAW Toyota brand, four models in the top 15 on the list are from FAW Toyota, and the complaints involve instrument cracking, aging components, loud engine noise, air conditioning and other problems.
In terms of specific models, the model with the highest number of complaints in November was FAW Toyota Crown, with 129 complaints in that month, nearly double the number of complaints in October. The main problems of complaints are still instrument cracking and aging parts. Most of the complaints are old models, focusing on models from 2005 to 2009. In addition, FAW Toyota Ruizhi and Carola also complained that the instrument was cracked and parts were aging.
Geely Motors ranked second in the list of complaints, with 78 complaints, down nearly 30% from October. The main problems of the complaint are the incomplete parts of the original car, engine jitter and so on. The problem of "incomplete matching" in the complaint mainly refers to the non-delivery of the second electronic key after the purchase and the failure to inform the expected delivery time. In response to the complaints from car owners, Geely officials also commented on the complaint: we will coordinate the relevant 4S stores to verify with you as soon as possible, and manufacturers will continue to pay attention to the follow-up handling.
From the top 10 complaints, there are three models on the list mainly due to the problem of non-delivery, including Changan Mercedes-Benz E-Star, Changan Deep Blue, and BYD PLUS. It is worth noting that the Mercedes-Benz E-Star of Changan Automobile was collectively complained by users as early as last year, and the complaints were "fare increase in disguise", "failure to raise the car" and so on. In this regard, Changan New Energy also issued a notice to dealers in December last year that due to the large backlog of orders in Mercedes-Benz E-Star, if delivery is delayed, please take the initiative to communicate with customers to obtain user understanding, orderly delivery according to orders, and quickly eliminate user concerns.
In addition, in April, Changan New Energy suspended orders for Mercedes-Benz E-Star entry-level models, the national version, due to raw material shortages and capacity constraints upstream. In June, Changan New Energy again issued an announcement saying that due to the shortage of upstream raw materials and capacity restrictions on vehicles and spare parts, the delivery cycle of the model is longer, so it is now scheduled to suspend the collection of orders for Mercedes-Benz E-Star models from 00:OO on July 1, 2022. It is understood that the Mercedes-Benz E-Star officially launched in April 2020, positioning minicar, a total of two models, the guiding price of 6.98-74800 yuan. According to public data, the cumulative sales of Mercedes-Benz E-Star reached 41351 from January to May in 2022, ranking third in minicar sales. From the data, Changan Mercedes-Benz E-Star basic monthly sales of more than 5000 vehicles.
Changan Deep Blue SL03, which has been on the market for less than five months, was also on the complaint list because it failed to deliver cars according to the contract, with 38 complaints in November, 4 more than last month. It is understood that due to the impact of high-temperature power cuts in Chongqing and Sichuan in August, the delivery of Changan Deep Blue was also affected. In September, Changan Deep Blue issued a notice "notice on clarifying the compensation Policy for delayed delivery of SL03", saying that in addition to delays caused by natural disasters, public events and other force majeure factors, if the delivery center notifies the vehicle delivery later than the last day of the "estimated delivery time" displayed in Changan Deep Blue APP/ Mini Program, users will be compensated. The standard of compensation is 120 yuan per natural day (the maximum is not more than 10,000 yuan). Delivery delays that may be caused by power cuts in Chongqing in August are also included in the scope of compensation. For users who have been delivered, if there is a delay, Changan Deep Blue officials will also take the initiative to contact and pay offline compensation. It is understood that Changan Deep Blue SL03 officially launched on July 25, the new car positioning as a medium-sized car, a total of four models, the price range is 16.89-699900 yuan.
BYD has been plagued by production capacity problems, the model on the complaint list is BYD Yuan PLUS, and most of the complaints are that it has been unable to deliver the car after paying the deposit. Of course, in addition to BYD Yuan plus's inability to deliver cars, BYD's other models, including BYD Dolphins, also appeared on last month's complaint list for failing to deliver cars as contracted. At present, BYD is the largest manufacturer of new energy vehicles in China and the largest manufacturer of new energy vehicles in the world. It has production bases in Shenzhen, Xi'an, Changsha, Changzhou, Fuzhou and other places, but even so, BYD products are still in short supply in the market. Data show that BYD sold a total of 1.3928 million new energy passenger vehicles from January to October 2022, an increase of 239.05% over the same period last year.
Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi ranked fourth on the list due to gearbox setbacks and car rust. In addition, Chery Ruihu 8 and Volvo XC60 are also among the top 10 complaints because of their odor and rust. Looking at the list as a whole, problems such as cracking of vehicle dashboards and aging of vehicle parts occurred frequently in November, involving five models, most of which were Japanese brand models represented by FAW Toyota Crown. In addition, there are 3 models in the top 10 due to non-delivery of vehicles. Compared with the October complaint list, the number of complaints from independent brands decreased month-on-month in November, but the number of complaints from some joint venture brands showed an upward trend.
