The FAW Toyota "Grevia" is a sister model of the Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Sena. For comparison, the price range of the Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Competition is 30.98 yuan to 405800 yuan, compared with 46000 yuan more expensive for the new car.

As a sister model, the overall design style of the new car is very similar to that of Sina, but optimized and younger in detail. The front face is different from the chrome-plated horizontal strip mesh structure surrounded by Seine, the new car uses a large honeycomb mesh air intake grille and is equipped with projection LED headlights on both sides. There are vents on both sides of the bumper, which makes it more vigorous and sporty.

On the side of the body, the new car has smooth lines and multi-line layout, creating a good sense of power, all equipped with standard electric skylights, bilateral electric side sliding doors, keyless entry and other configurations. The rear part of the car adopts the same special-shaped smoked black taillight group as Sena, and the rear is surrounded by a double-layer design, equipped with grid-shaped decorative panels and chrome-plated decorative strips. In addition, the new car rear suspension hybrid exclusive car logo and model English logo to enhance the identification of the new car, the exhaust adopts hidden layout.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5175, 1995 and 1765 mm respectively (1785 for the unroofed luggage rack), the wheelbase is 3060mm, and the positioning is medium and large MPV, which is consistent with that of Sena. For comparison, the Buick GL8 has a length, width and height of 5256/1878/1776mm and a wheelbase of 3088mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car adopts car-like design layout, suspension design of central-controlled multimedia touch screen and 7-inch full liquid crystal dashboard, with three-format multi-function steering wheel, and a large number of physical function buttons are retained in the car. The seat adopts a 2-2-3 layout of 7 seats.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the same hybrid assembly as the new Crown-Lufang and a 2.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine + motor hybrid system, of which 2.5L naturally aspirated engine maximum power 141kW, motor maximum power 134kW, the comprehensive power of the system is expected to be 183kW, matching E-CVT gearbox.

According to data from the Federation of passengers, sales in the domestic MPV market in November 2022 were only 72000, down 13.8% from the same period last year and 11.7% from the previous month, and the overall auto market was weak. In terms of specific models, according to the list of "Automotive Industry concern" statistics, the highest sales in November were only 8367 vehicles, which was Wuling Hongguang, down 48.8% from the same period last year, nearly halving; Buick GL8 sales fell 38.4% year-on-year to 6912 vehicles; Chuanqi M8 fell 7.4% to 6588 vehicles. In addition, the MPV market "evergreen" Odyssey and Ericsson also had poor sales in November, with the Ericsson having the biggest decline on the list, down 61.3% from a year earlier to 2048. By contrast, new models such as the Sena and the Tengli D9 have risen strongly, with Sina selling 6351 in November, and the Teng Teng D9 has also performed well as a new car, with 3451 in November.

Data show that from 2016 to 2021, the domestic MPV market sales fell from 2.4 million vehicles to 1.079 million vehicles, and the market share gradually decreased. Although MPV has a small market share, the domestic middle and high-end MPV market has entered a period of rapid development. Under the changes of the car market, more and more car companies have entered the MPV market, including Lantu Automobile, FAW Toyota, FAW Red Flag and Tengli Automobile, etc., and have made great efforts to distribute new models in this field, but after entering 2022, the domestic MPV market as a whole presents a new trend. From January to November 2022, sales in the domestic MPV market fell 14.2 per cent year-on-year to 843000 vehicles. Among the subdivided models, only Wuling Hongguang and Buick GL8 sold more than 100000 in the first November, of which Wuling Hongguang's sales plunged 35.4% to 146300, ranking first; Buick GL8 took second place, down 20.3% from a year earlier to 117400; the new model Sena squeezed into third place, with sales of 67467; Chuanqi M8 and popular Lingzhi ranked fourth and fifth, with sales of 56321 and 38901 respectively. According to statistics, among the top five models, except Sina, the other four models all declined compared with the same period last year, with the highest decline being Wuling Hongguang.

Judging from the list, Sena, as a new model, had relatively excellent sales performance in the first 10 months, and after it had successively surpassed the Odyssey, Ericsson, Chuanqi M8 and other medium-and large-scale MPV;, and the first MPV model of the booming brand, "Tengli D9", was delivered, the November sales data were OK. At present, Tengli D9, the brand's first MPV model, is releasing production capacity; Buick's flagship MPV Century has also been officially offline, and it will begin delivery in mid-December, launching two models with a price range of 529900-689900 yuan; in addition, more and more new energy MPV entry has also intensified competition in this market segment. On November 1st, ZEEKR 009, a new MPV model of polar krypton ZEEKR, was officially launched, with a total of two models with a price of 49.9-588000 yuan. As for how the pattern of the MPV market will change after the listing of FAW Toyota's "Grivia", it will take more time to observe.
