According to previous news, the new car is expected to be unveiled and sold at NIO DAY on December 24. As a reference, the price of the cash ES8 is 49.6-656000 yuan. According to the comprehensive declaration information, it is expected that there will be a small increase in the new car.

As a new generation of models, the biggest change of the new car is based on the NT2.0 platform. In terms of appearance, the new car uses the latest family design language, compared with the current model, the new car as a whole is more concise. Specifically, the front face of the new car uses a closed grille design, canceling the original X-shaped silver trim, the big mouth part has also been moved down and reduced, looks more concise, with split headlights on both sides, quite recognizable. In the rear part of the car, the new car will replace the taillight style with a penetrating design, which is more concise in visual effect. The taillights on both sides are connected by a slender strip, and the brand LOGO is in the center above to enhance the recognition of the new car. The left and right sides of the rear are marked with "Lulai ES8" and "Jianghuai Automobile" respectively.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5099/1989/1750mm and the wheelbase is 3070mm. For comparison, the current ES8 length, width and height are 5022/1962/1756mm, wheelbase is 3010mm, by contrast, the car body becomes longer. According to the declaration information, the new car will be available in 20-inch, 21-inch and 22-inch wheel sizes, with six wheel styles.

The interior part has not been disclosed by the official at present, but the interior space will be greatly improved. It is reported that the new generation of Xilai ES8 will only offer six-seat models, and of course, it does not rule out the possibility that the new car will provide a six-seat version first, followed by a seven-seat version. This news has not been officially confirmed. For reference, the current ES8 offers 6-seat and 7-seat seating layouts. In terms of power, the new car continues to be equipped with a four-wheel drive system with maximum power of 180kW and 300kW, which is the same as ES7 and ET7 models, with a comprehensive maximum power of 480kW and a maximum torque of 850N ·m.

According to the official website, there are a total of six products, including ET7, ET5, ES8, ES7, ES6 and EC6, which are the most planned among the new car-building companies. ES7, ET7 and ET5 models are new models launched by Xilai this year. Lulai ET7 positioning medium and large flagship sedan, which starts delivery on March 28 this year and competes with BMW7; ES7 positioning medium and large SUV, which officially delivered and competes with domestic BMW X5 on August 28th; and ET5 positioning medium-sized luxury sedan, which is lower than ET7 and priced at 32.80-386000 yuan, is the cheapest model under NIO.

The ES8 is the first model launched by Xilai, which was launched at the end of 2017, and it is also the flagship model with the highest positioning among the SUV products. So far, ES8 has been on the market for five years, and the declaration chart exposed this time can be regarded as a replacement of ES8.

According to the data, a total of 14178 new cars were delivered in November, up 30.3% from the same period last year and 40.9% from the previous month. Among the subdivided models, the delivery volume of ET7, ES7 and ET5, the three new models of the second-generation technology platform NT2, has all risen steadily to 11072 units, according to official data. By the end of November, from January to November in 2022, Xilai delivered a total of 106671 vehicles, lagging behind ideal cars (112013 in November) and Xiaopeng (109465 in November), completing 71.12% of the annual sales of 150000 vehicles. If you want to achieve the target, it means that Xilai delivered 43300 new cars in December, compared with the average monthly delivery in November, which basically has nothing to do with achieving the annual sales target.
