AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)04/25 Report--

Toyota Ruizhi is well-known both at home and abroad. A year and a half ago, Toyota Ruizhi, known as the "cheapest V6 rear-drive", drew sighs from fans in China, and now many sources have confirmed that the 51-year-old V6 + rear-drive model is about to end in Japan, and there has been no Toyota ambition since it officially stopped production in December.

Toyota released a set of official pictures of Mark X Final Edition models and a video commemorating the Mark X (Mark X is the overseas version of Ruizhi), which will be discontinued in December. Toyota Ruizhi Final Edition has launched a total of two two-wheel-drive / four-wheel-drive models, but the memorial model is only available in the Japanese home market, priced at 3.3318 million yen (200100 yuan) and 3.48948 million yen (209600 yuan), respectively.

The Toyota Ruizhi Final Edition will be powered by a 2.5L V6 engine with a maximum power of 203hp, peak torque of 243Nm and a six-speed automatic transmission, including the Final Edition 250s Four with a four-wheel drive system.

The exterior interior has its own features, the new car is equipped with 18-inch multi-spoke rims, the front bumper is decorated with chrome, the interior is designed in red and black, and the red parts of the door panels and seats are more sporty with red stitches.

Ruizhi Mark-X, which takes over from Toyota's classic Mark-II, made its official debut in 2004 and launched the second-generation model in 2009, but after the launch of the second-generation model, the original factory has been using minor modifications to continue the competitiveness of Mark-X. Because of the old platform and poor engine, Mark-X sales in Japan and China are getting worse and worse.

After careful calculation, Mark X (Mark-II) has a history of 51 years. In order to compete with the first generation of Nissan Laurel, Toyota launched Mark II in 1968, which is located in the Corona sports model. The original model has a variety of vehicle structures, including two-door coupe, four-door sedan and even pickup version. The second-generation Corona Mark II, launched in 1972, carries Toyota's M-series six-cylinder engine for the first time.

The third generation car came out in 1976, and the new car also directly adopted the naming method of Mark II. The fourth generation Mark II was officially launched in 1980. This generation Mark II canceled the two-door coupe and provided four-door sedan and travel version models, but the four-door sedan added the Hardtop model with no frame door.

After that, the Mark II was replaced every four years, until the Mark II ushered in the ninth generation model code X110 in 2000, then Toyota Mark X, the successor of Toyota Mark II, was officially released overseas in 2004, and the first generation Toyota Mark X was officially put into production in Tianjin FAW Toyota in 2005, which is the domestic renowned Ruizhi.

Ruizhi entered China in 2005 and can buy V6 rear-drive models at a price of less than 200000, which is sought after by car owners who pursue performance and driving control. Finally, on September 27, 2017, FAW Toyota Ruizhi, which has been in the Chinese market for 12 years, officially stopped production with the release of its 528188 Ruizhi cars. Although Ruizhi is a classic in China, its battle for battlefield has almost never been upgraded in the core technology for many years, and many technologies have been unable to keep up with the pace. Although it has the configuration of V6 + rear drive, the actual driving performance is not very good. Coupled with the increasingly stringent domestic fuel consumption limits, Ruizhi with large emissions has withdrawn from the Chinese market.

With the change of the era of technology development, whether in the domestic or Japanese market, Toyota Mark X has become a thing of the past, and the good reputation in the market is only because of feelings. Mark X has basically not changed over the years, it is obvious that the miraculous car of the past is no longer suitable for the current market, and living in strategic considerations, Toyota now gives up this high-emission self-priming V6 + rear-drive car as a matter of course.
