In terms of size, the mountain and sea guns are 5440/1991/1924mm in length, width and height, and 3350mm in wheelbase, which is shorter and closer to the 500mm than the Ford FMI 150, but closer to the 200mm than medium-sized pick-up trucks such as Navarra and D-MAX.

In the detail design, the rear door of Shanhai cannon adopts fully wrapped design, the outer door panel directly covers the whole C column, and there are double sealing strips. In terms of interior decoration, the interior layout of Mountain and Sea Cannon is very similar to that of Tank 500, with a more luxurious and advanced leather package and wood grain material, with a 14.6-inch central control screen and a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument. However, because the car belongs to the Great Wall gun series, the steering wheel is different from the tank 500, and the central area of the plate is made into an asymmetrical logo shape.

In terms of power, Shanhai Gun is equipped with the same 3.0T V6 engine, maximum power 260kW, peak torque 500N ·m, transmission system matching 9AT gearbox, and all standard Bogwarner 4A + MLOCK four-wheel drive system, which can be regarded as the highest performance in the domestic pickup market. In addition, Mountain and Sea Gun also provides 2.4T diesel power, with a maximum power of 135 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 480 Nm. In addition, the new car will also launch hybrid and plug-in hybrid models in the future.

This may be the cheapest 3.0T model in China, even a pickup truck. When it comes to domestic pick-up trucks in the past, many consumers must think of low-end cheap tool cars, even imported high-end pick-up trucks such as FMI150 and Tentu, their performance in luxury, rear ride comfort and NVH is not entirely satisfactory, and from the overall performance of Shanhai Cannon, it well fills the gap in the domestic luxury pickup market, and the price of 3.0T is only 258800 yuan, which is really attractive. At present, pickups are no longer limited to transporting goods to do business, but have begun to become a means of self-driving and country trips.

Generally speaking, the sales of passenger cars represent the quality of life and pursuit of Chinese consumers, but the sales of commercial vehicles represent the development of small enterprises and small private owners in China. Only when the demand for commercial vehicles comes up and the basic livelihood problems are solved, can the passenger car market be restored.

The pickup market also directly reflects the development of small private owners. In 2020, the pickup market, represented by the Great Wall, has become the vanguard of the automobile market after the epidemic slows down, but with the real estate downturn and the interference of the epidemic, the operation pressure of the tertiary industry is greater, and the pickup market is also difficult. Data show that the cumulative sales of Great Wall pick-up trucks from January to November in 2022 were 172900, down 16.85% from the same period last year, of which 13800 were sold in November, down 33.53% from the same period last year. According to the analysis of the China Automobile Association, the downward pressure on the economy is increasing, the epidemic has an impact on the automobile consumer market, the release of consumer demand for cars is blocked, the performance of the end market is weak, and the rhythm of the supply side slows down, bringing greater pressure to the stable operation of the automobile market.

According to the official website, Great Wall pickup models currently on sale include Great Wall Gun series, Kumgang Gun, Shanhai Gun and Fengjun series. among them, the Great Wall Gun series includes Great Wall Gun passenger pickup truck, Great Wall Gun commercial pickup truck, Great Wall Gun off-road pickup truck, artillery, locomotive gun, and the newly launched Mountain and Sea Cannon is the most expensive pickup model for the Great Wall pickup, and it is also the model with the strongest power configuration for the Great Wall pickup.

Under the strong advocacy of the State Council, all parts of the country have set off an upsurge of lifting the ban on pickups, and the pickup market has ushered in a brand-new opportunity for development. In the pickup market, the State Council has twice proposed "implementing fine management of pickup vehicles entering the city and studying further relaxing restrictions on the entry of pick-up trucks" to clarify the general direction of lifting the ban on pick-up trucks, and urge relevant departments and local governments to ensure that various measures are implemented in a timely manner.
