Honda officially announced the price of the new Accord in the United States on Jan. 5, launching a total of six models with a price range of $27295 to $37890. The new car is the eleventh generation of the Accord series, based on the chassis of the 10th generation Accord, which has already made its global debut at the 2022 Los Angeles Motor Show. According to the plan, the new car will be introduced into China by GAC Honda. At present, the new car declaration chart has appeared in the declaration catalogue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is expected to be listed in April this year. As a reference, the price range of the tenth generation Accord medium-term modified model currently on sale in China is 16.98-259800 yuan. It is expected that the domestic version will continue to maintain this price range.

As a replacement product, in terms of appearance, the new car adopts the latest design style of the Honda family. The new generation Accord unveiled at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show is not much different from the domestic GAC Honda Accord declaration map, only optimized in details. Specifically, the front face of the new car uses a hexagonal forward air grille, the interior of the grille is integrated with a triangular grid design, and the long and narrow headlights are arranged on both sides and integrated with the front grill. the lower encirclement adopts the design of penetrating heat dissipation and ventilation openings and chrome-plated decorative strips at both ends, which looks more fashionable and avant-garde as a whole. In the rear part, the new car taillight adopts the very popular penetrating shape, which lengthens the visual proportion of the tail, in which the Honda LOGO is embedded in the middle, and the internal light source of both sides of the taillight adopts double-frame design, which has a higher degree of identification after lighting, and the new car adopts hidden exhaust layout in exhaust.

On the side of the body, the new car becomes simpler and slimmer. The C-pillar of the new car cancels the irregular raised design style and is replaced by a more conventional triangular window line model. in terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4980/1860/1450mm, and the wheelbase is 2830mm. As a comparison, the length, width and height of the domestic Accord are 4906/1862/1449mm and the wheelbase is 2830mm. By contrast, the length of the new car has increased by 74mm.

In the interior part, the domestic version of the model has not yet been released and is expected to be consistent with the overseas version, as a reference, the overseas version is equipped with 7-inch / 12.3-inch LCD dashboards and 12.310.2-inch LCD digital instruments as well as the latest three-spoke multi-function steering wheel.

On the power side, the new car is equipped with 1.5T fuel power and a fourth-generation 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system, with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 192hp and a peak torque of 260Nm, matched with a CVT gearbox; a 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system with a maximum power of 204hp and a peak torque of 335Nm, matched with an E-CVT gearbox.

Accord is a classic model of Honda, which has a history of 39 years all over the world. In the domestic market, Accord was first introduced by Guangzhou Automobile Honda in 1999. So far, Accord models have gone through ten generations of iterations, of which the tenth generation model was launched in China on April 16, 2018. This new car is the 11th generation model. As of last year, Accord model global cumulative sales of more than 22 million, becoming the world's best-selling medium-sized cars, in the domestic market cumulative sales of more than 2.4 million.

In the domestic market, Accord mainly competes with Toyota Camry and Nissan Teana, which are known as the "Japanese three Musketeers". According to new car traffic insurance data, from January to November 2022, Camry, Accord and Teana sold 219400, 190400 and 135200 vehicles respectively. According to the data, the competition between Accord and Camry is very fierce, with a difference of only 29000 vehicles between the two in the first November, and the new generation of Accord will continue to compete with Toyota Camry, Nissan Teana, Volkswagen Passat and other medium-sized cars after its launch in April.
