Skyworth EV6 520 Smart Edition, which participated in the C-NCAP crash test of China Automobile Research Institute, is priced at 205800 yuan under official guidance. In addition, the test car configuration sheet indicates that there is a reminder that the seat belt is not fastened, but the actual test car does not have it at all, and 2 points will be deducted.

In addition to the low occupant protection score, the active safety performance is also very poor. It is understood that the Skyworth EV6 that participated in the collision test was equipped with a car / pedestrian / car two-wheeler AEB to brake actively, but in the actual test, the Skyworth EV6 not only rear-ended, but also hit the dummy. As a result, Skyworth EV6 scored only 3.995 out of 38 on ADAS.

In July 2021, Skyworth ET5 changed its name to Skyworth EV6 and went public with a price of 15.28-249800 yuan. Compared with Skyworth ET5, the appearance of the new car has not changed much, but it has made a lot of updates and optimizations in vehicle configuration, power battery and so on.

Compared with NIO, Xiaopeng, ideal and other new car-building brands, Skyworth, which laid out new energy buses as early as 10 years ago, has rich experience in automobile manufacturing, technical reserves and brand influence. However, Skyworth still "got up early in the morning and caught the evening collection." According to the official website, Skyworth cars currently on sale include EV6 and HTi models. According to the official announcement, Skyworth sold a total of 21916 vehicles in 2022, of which 3116 were delivered in December.

It is worth mentioning that just yesterday, Skyworth just announced an increase in the price of Skyworth EV6, and the configuration / price adjustment of the whole department of models, including 520standard version, 520smart version, 520Pro version, 620standard version, 620smart version, 620Pro version are all increased by 8000 yuan, 520joy version, 620joy version, 620travel version is not on sale, 410travel version, 520travel version price is not adjusted.

Generally speaking, the collision performance of new energy vehicles is better than that of traditional fuel vehicles. The overall layout of new energy vehicles is often relatively simple, and the updated platform can better ensure that the overall structure of new energy vehicles is superior, while the collision test performance of fuel vehicles is generally lower than that of new energy vehicles due to considering the structure of engine and gearbox.

As we all know, the collision performance of the C-NCAP has been questioned by outsiders. No matter the models that participated in the collision in 2022 or before, the models that basically participated in the collision test received a five-star rating, mainly because of their relatively low collision standards and lack of rigor to the vehicle structure test. However, Skyworth EV6 as a new energy vehicle, as a price of 15-250000 yuan level of electric vehicles, its safety performance is comparable to the elderly scooter, but also the Chuangzhong Auto Research C-NCAP test rating is a new low, if in the more stringent Insurance Research C-IASI, the outcome may be even worse.
