The new car has a "SAIC Volkswagen" logo on the left side, a "XR" logo on the right, and a "LAVIDA" logo in the middle.

The power side is equipped with 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, maximum power 81kW, peak torque of about 145N ·m, and is expected to match 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmission.

According to the overall size of the new car, the size of the new car is smaller than that of Xin Lang Yi, and its positioning is expected to be slightly lower than that of Lang Yi and slightly higher than that of Santana. In the future, it will mainly focus on the entry-level compact car market, with a starting price of about 100000 yuan, and may become the successor of Santana after listing. SAIC-Volkswagen sales fell 14.70% year-on-year to 1.2435 million vehicles in 2022, with December sales up 249.6% to 143900, according to CAS data. Among the subdivided models, Lang Yi sold 350000 vehicles for the whole year, of which 41500 in December, making it the highest-selling model of SAIC-Volkswagen. Not long ago, SAIC Volkswagen also launched the Lang Yi Star version, which costs 130900 yuan. The new car is equipped with a 1.5L engine with a maximum power of 113hp and matches the 6AT gearbox. With the exposure of the entry-level model declaration map, Lang Yi will be more optional, as to whether increasing the number of models can increase the gap between Lang Yi and the same class models, we might as well wait and see.
