The M5 currently on sale in China is the mid-term modified version of the sixth generation of the car (F90 LCI) and the last pure fuel BMW M5. It is powered by a BMW M TwinPower Turbo 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-type eight-cylinder gasoline engine, maximum power 441kW, peak torque 750N ·m, transmission system matching eight-speed manual integrated gearbox and four-wheel drive system. It should be noted that although the model will no longer be available in the domestic market from the production month this month, it does not mean that domestic consumers will not be able to buy the BMW M5, and subsequent overseas markets will continue to produce the model. Therefore, domestic consumers can still buy the model in February, but it will take more time to wait considering that the vehicles are manufactured and shipped from overseas to the domestic market.

The BMW M5 is a high-performance car developed on the basis of the BMW 5-Series, which is developed and manufactured by BMW M, a competitive vehicle unit directly under BMW. The domestic price is 1.4389 million yuan. Of course, because the BMW M5 is a performance car and expensive, it does not have a large number of cars in China.

According to related reports, the new seventh-generation M5 will start production in July next year, when the appearance and interior of the new car will have significant changes, including the removal of the "chicken leg" block design in the interior and replaced by a new generation of iDrive and integrated floating curved screen design. Specifically, in terms of appearance, from the espionage photos previously exposed, the front face of the new car uses BMW's classic large-size double kidney net design, the interior is supplemented by horizontal banner decoration, and the shape type of LED day lights on both sides is double "7" shape, the visual effect is quite rich. On the side of the body, the left front fender of the new car is provided with a charging port, and the new car may adopt a plug-in hybrid system. In the rear part, the shape of the new car is similar to the brand-new BMW 7-Series, the taillight is narrow and sharp, and the exhaust is a bilateral exhaust layout, which makes it more athletic as a whole.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car adopts a brand-new style of three-spoke flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel, which is equipped with a 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument and a 14.9-inch central control screen, and a more elaborate air conditioning outlet is used under the center console. A relatively big change is that the new car has removed the "chicken leg" block design and replaced it with a more concise electronic shift knob.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a new hybrid V8 engine of the same origin as the BMW XM, with a maximum horsepower of 700hp, which means that the pure fuel M5 will no longer exist and become the best, while the new BMW M5 will be the first plug-in hybrid in the history of the BMW M brand.
