Not long ago, the media revealed that a self-traveler NV was found in the Chery commercial vehicle headquarters. although the vehicle was not hung and listed, the words "NIUTRON" and "NV" on the vehicle were clearly visible, so the market speculated that the traveler or chose to cooperate with Chery to produce its own models. In addition, there is also news on the Internet that there is a procurement project of "site leveling Project of Li's New Energy vehicle Base" in Wuhu, Anhui Province, with the surname consistent with Li Yinan, so there is the news that "Li Yinan's home landed in Wuhu". However, neither of the above two news has been responded to by tourist officials.

Zi Youjia is a new new energy brand launched by Mavericks founder Li Yinan. The earliest car-building project can be traced back to November 2018. The brand is headquartered in Beijing, the R & D center is set up in Shanghai, and the R & D and intelligent manufacturing base is located in Changzhou. In December 2020, Jiangsu Niu Innovation Energy Technology Co., Ltd. completed registration with a registered capital of 50 million US dollars. Later, due to the landing of the production base, Niu Innovation Energy changed its address to Jintan District, Changzhou City in August 2021. At the same time, the registered capital increased by 400 million US dollars from 50 million US dollars.

In December 2021, Niu Innovation Energy officially launched its new automobile brand "NIUTRON", and named it "self-traveler" in Chinese. On October 5, 2022, Niu Innovation Energy announced that in order to avoid users from confusing the relationship between the "NIUTRON" and "self-traveler" brands and Niu Innovation Energy, the company officially changed its name to "Martian Technology Co., Ltd." and the name "Niu Innovation Energy" will not be used in any scenario.

Since the traveler's first product NV is produced in the exclusive production line of Changzhou base of Changzhou Mahayana Motor. According to the data, Mahayana is a new Chinese independent automobile brand founded by Wu Xiao, the son of Chairman Wu Jianzhong of original Zhongtai Motors. It was established in December 2014, formerly known as Jiangsu Jintan Changdanghu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., renamed as Mahayana Automobile Co., Ltd. In July 2018, and changed to the current name Daiichi Automobile Group Co., Ltd in April 2019. Daisheng car is young and fashionable, and has two major production bases in Changzhou, Jiangsu and Fuzhou, Jiangxi. Its qualifications include passenger cars, commercial vehicles and new energy vehicles. It is an enterprise with the qualification of manufacturing both traditional energy vehicles and new energy vehicles. However, due to its poor management, Mahayana successively handed over the above production bases to Zi Youjia and BYD respectively. At present, BYD has completely taken over the Mahayana production base in Fuzhou. According to the plan, BYD will take off the whole vehicle in April this year, and is currently speeding up the construction of the second phase of Fuzhou project. However, at present, Mahayana is in a deep debt crisis, but it is also one of the reasons for the suspension of self-made cars.

The market believes that the main reason why NV is unable to deliver is the lack of production qualification. According to the past practice, car manufacturers that lack production qualifications usually choose to cooperate with traditional car companies, such as the contract manufacturing model adopted by NIO and Jianghuai, Xiaopeng and Haima Motor, but this production policy has changed. According to the notice on carrying out the pilot work of commissioned production of New Energy vehicles issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the condition of the entrusted enterprise is to enter through the new energy vehicle production enterprise, and the condition of the entrusted enterprise is to enter through the new energy vehicle production enterprise. and have the same production qualification as the commissioned production products. In short, the two enterprises that adopt the "contract manufacturing mode" need to have production qualifications in order to produce on contract.

People in the industry believe that although self-travelers have confirmed that they have discussed cooperation with Chery, according to the current industrial policy, it is very difficult for self-travelers to reach OEM cooperation with third parties before obtaining production qualifications on their own.
