AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/12 Report--

Recently, the well-known American market research company J.D.Power released the latest automobile reliability research report. It is reported that the top 10 reliability are: Lexus, Genisse, Kia, Buick, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Hyundai, MINI, Nissan. The top five brands with the lowest reliability are Tesla, Ford, Audi, Lincoln and Land Rover.

It is understood that the well-known US market research company J.D.Power survey is from 30062 owners of vehicles, vehicles are three years old, the report involves a total of 32 car brands. The quality ranking is measured by the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). To put it simply, the lower the score, the higher the ranking, which means that the number of failures of brand vehicles in the survey is lower.

The average number of brands on the list is higher than the industry average, including Lexus, Genisys, Kia, Buick, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Hyundai, MINI, Nissan, Dodge, Cadillac, Mazda, GMC, BMW, and most of them are Japanese, American, Korean and other brands. There are 17 below average brands: RAM, Jeep, Honda, Infiniti, Porsche, Acura, Subaru, Volvo, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, Ford, Audi, Lincoln and Land Rover.

The German brand performed slightly worse, with only MINI in the top 10, BMW in 15th, Porsche in 20th place from 7th in the same period last year, Volkswagen in 24th, Mercedes-Benz in 27th and Audi in 30th. Among them, MINI ranks higher than last year, surpassing Porsche in one fell swoop. Volkswagen brands rank low and sell fewer models with Volkswagen in the United States, but Volkswagen has been in the lower-middle level in similar consumer reports over the years because users report a lot of vehicle problems.

Nissan has made great progress in reliability this year, especially with Lexus ranking first with 133 problems per 100 vehicles, up four places from the previous year. However, Toyota slipped to seventh place from fifth place in 2022. Mazda's reliability dropped one place from the previous year to 13th. Nissan and its luxury brand Infiniti have also made great progress in reliability this year, with Infiniti up five places from the previous year.

The overall performance of Korean brand Hyundai, Kia and Genisse is stable. American brands as a whole are in a lower position, with only Buick and Chevrolet in the top ten. Ford's reliability score fell fast, with its luxury brand Lincoln at the bottom again. Dodge also slipped to 11th place from eighth last year.

It is worth noting that the reliability survey report released this time, Tesla also entered the list and became the biggest "bright spot" in the list. According to feedback from the owners of Tesla, there were 242problems in every 100th of Tesla's cars. Tesla did not allow J.D. Power to contact the owners for data collection, so Tesla never appeared on the list. Tesla only did not allow the company to collect information in 15 states, so J.D. Power instead collected samples from another 35 states. Although Tesla is the largest electric car company in the United States and the most valuable car company, the "quality control crisis" of its products has always existed. Recently, Tesla Musk was investigated by the SEC for over-promotion of autopilot functions and system design.
