The new car is positioned as a pure electric small car, with a total of 6 models, and the CLTC mileage is 151km, 305km and 406km respectively.

Appearance: Jiangnan Automobile U2 adopts a closed intake grille design with a rectangular headlamp combination on both sides of the front. The front is surrounded by a concave design, with a black air inlet in the middle, and a "field"-shaped decorative plate on both sides of the front and rear to enhance the overall recognition of the vehicle. The rear of the car is a penetrating design style, and the black trim connects the headlights on both sides together, echoing with the front face.

Body: the new car adopts two-color body design, with popular hidden door handles. The top of the vehicle and the windows are blackened with color matching, and the body color forms an obvious two-color splicing shape, making the vehicle extremely athletic. In addition, the semi-enclosed shape and large-size multi-frame wheels are also used to highlight the personalized style of the vehicle. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 3840/1742/1545mm and the wheelbase is 2521mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the design style of simple style is adopted, and the air outlet design of the central console is a collection of through-type air conditioners. Equipped with double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the interior design echoes with the shape, air conditioning outlet, door panel hand-tightening, steering wheel and so on all use a variety of round and rounded rectangular elements. In terms of functional configuration, the new car is equipped with constant speed cruise and reversing radar, the medium and high-end models are equipped with co-driver airbags and reversing images, and the top models are also equipped with L2 driving assistance system, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, panoramic skylights and other functions.

In terms of power, it provides two kinds of power for users to choose from. One is a drive motor with a maximum power of 55 kilowatts and a peak torque of 120 Nm, and the other is a drive motor with a maximum power of 80 kW and a peak torque of 160 Nm. In the battery life section, the Jiangnan U2 is divided into three CLTC options: 151km, 305km and 406km. Some of the models have DC fast charging capacity, and it takes only 0.5 hours to increase the electricity from 30% to 80%. Competitive products, Jiangnan U2 will be listed on the standard Hongguang MINIEV, Eula good cat, Chery small ants and other miniature pure electric vehicles.

Data show that Hunan Jiangnan Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is one of the four designated production enterprises of Otto. In 2003, Jiangnan Automobile launched Otto with a price of only 29800 yuan, which once caused a hot sale in the market and became the "low-price king" of the domestic sedan chair at that time. However, in 2006, the effect of the low-price strategy gradually weakened, and Jiangnan car sales also declined. In May 2007, Zhongtai holding Group reorganized Jiangnan Automobile, obtained the car production qualification, and became the brand of Zhongtai Automobile. After Jiangnan became a Zhongtai brand, it launched a mini called Jiangnan TIT, which adopted the classic styling of Happy Prince Alto Suzuki and was once the beginning of many family car dreams. However, due to product quality and market reasons, Jiangnan TIT soon "disappeared" in the market. Subsequently, due to the bankruptcy of Tai Motors, Hunan Jiangnan Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was filed for bankruptcy reorganization in November last year, and the applicant was its supplier.

Zhongtai Motor itself has been on the brink of bankruptcy in recent years. In 2021, Zhongtai Automobile was applied by creditors because it could not pay off its maturing debts, ruled to accept the reorganization in accordance with the law, and appointed the manager to carry out the reorganization work specifically. On September 9, 2021, Jiangsu Shenshang holding Group Co., Ltd. was finally confirmed as the restructuring investor according to the judge's vote. On October 9 of the same year, Zhongtai Automobile restructuring investors were finally identified as Jiangsu Shenzhen Merchants, Shanghai Tianqi and Hunan Zhibo as the second-ranking restructuring investors of the company. On December 28, 2021, Zhongtai received the Civil order of Jinhua Intermediate people's Court, confirming the completion of the implementation of the Zhongtai Automobile restructuring Plan. In October last year, Zhongtai Automobile issued a "notice on the resumption of vehicle production" officially announced its return. Of course, Jiangnan U2, as the first model after the resurrection of Zhongtai Automobile, will also face fierce competition. After all, in the current new energy vehicle sales market, small electric vehicles have a strong demand in the market, including strong competitors.
