The power battery pack tray of some vehicles within the scope of recall is uneven due to manufacturing reasons, and there is a risk of water ingress. This may cause electrical circuit failure of the power battery system, and in extreme cases, there is a risk of thermal runaway of the power battery, and there are potential safety hazards.

It is decided to recall 52928 electric vehicles produced between April 5,2021 and April 18,2022 from July 29,2022. This recall belongs to the expanded recall of BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. recalling some Tang DM electric vehicles issued on April 29,2022.
