AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/20 Report--
On February 20, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration issued an announcement that Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and decided to recall the following vehicles from February 20,2023, totaling 4103 vehicles.
I. A total of 106 V60 vehicles of model year 2023 produced from August 11,2022 to January 13,2023; II. 185 V90CC vehicles of model year 2023 produced from October 11,2022 to January 13,2023; III. 3812 XC90 vehicles of model year 2023 produced from October 11,2022 to January 13,2023.
The reason for this recall is that some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be mistakenly set to a fault state due to unstable software and hardware compatibility of the brake control module, resulting in loss of brake boost. In response to the above defects, Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will upgrade the brake control module software free of charge for vehicles within the scope of recall through authorized dealers. It is planned to update the brake control module software of vehicles by means of vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) from March 17,2023. If a vehicle cannot be recalled via OTA technology, Volvo Cars authorized dealers will proactively contact the relevant user to upgrade the software for the vehicle free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
