In response to the rumor that "Jianghuai NIO factory has stopped production for several days", Xilai Motor responded that "the factory is operating normally." Xilai Automobile said that Jianghuai NIO Hefei advanced manufacturing base is currently in a normal state of production, while some products (ES8, ES6 and EC6) have entered the technology platform switching period, and the factory is making corresponding production preparations for the introduction of new platform models.

According to an article posted by self-media on Wechat's public platform this morning, production at the Jianghuailai factory, located in the economic and technological development zone of Hefei, has been suspended for several days and will last at least until the end of this month. It is not clear when construction will start. However, the article was deleted soon after it was released, and then the official response to the rumor that "Jianghuai NIO factory had stopped production for several days" determined that the report was not true.

NIO, one of the new car-building brands, was registered in Shanghai on November 25, 2014. at present, its products include seven models: ES8, ES6, EC6, ET7, ET5, ES7 and EC7. among them, ES8 is the first mass production model, which was officially launched on December 16, 2017. the pre-subsidy price range is 44.80-548000 yuan.

As we all know, NIO does not have the qualification to build cars. In 2016, NIO signed a cooperation framework agreement with Jianghuai Automobile, authorizing JAC to use its trademark and related technology, while JAC is responsible for producing new energy vehicle models for cooperation between the two sides and establishing an advanced manufacturing base for JAC to Hefei, with an initial production and sales plan of 50, 000 vehicles per year, mainly producing ES6, ES8 and EC6.

In May 2021, Jianghuai and NIO renewed the contract, the new contract is from May 2021 to May 2024, and the contract models include ES8, ES6, EC6, ET7 and subsequent products. At the same time, Jianghuai Automobile will increase the annual production capacity of the plant to 240000 vehicles to meet the demand of Wei Lai.

In December 2022, Jianghuai Motors announced that based on the long-term strategic cooperation established between Jianghuai Automobile and Xilai Automobile, in order to jointly promote cooperation in the manufacturing of new energy vehicles, Jianghuai Automobile intends to acquire project assets related to construction-equipment installation projects held by Anhui Lai, including equipment and tooling assets, with an estimated transaction price of 1.704 billion yuan. It is understood that Anhui Lai is the main company of the Lai F2 factory, which was established in August 2020 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIO Holdings Co., Ltd. The Lulai F2 plant, invested by Xilai Automobile, was officially put into production in the third quarter of 2022, mainly producing ET5 models.

After years of development, the product matrix of NIO has been gradually improved, covering medium-sized cars, medium-sized cars, medium-sized SUV, medium-sized cross-border sedan SUV to medium-and large-scale SUV and so on. According to NIO's previous plan, five new cars will be released in the coming first half of 2023, increasing the number of models on sale to eight.
