According to the announcement, Porsche (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. From April 1, 2023, some 2017-2021 Panamera series cars manufactured between September 8, 2016 and November 10, 2021 will be recalled, totaling 51125.

The reason for this recall is that due to the lax sealing of the auxiliary electronic water pump of the air conditioning warm air system in some vehicles within the recall scope, moisture may enter the water pump control unit, causing short circuit of the pump plug and wire harness, thermal damage (smoldering), increasing the risk of vehicle fire, and potential safety hazards.

In view of the above defects, Porsche (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will, through authorized dealers, replace the auxiliary electronic water pumps with better sealing performance for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and at the same time check whether the relevant wiring harness and plugs are damaged, repair and replacement will be carried out if necessary to eliminate safety risks.

Panamera (Panamera) is a Porsche car model, and it is also the first four-door model launched by Porsche, which mainly competes with luxury cars such as BMW 7, Mercedes-Benz S, Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and Lexus LS. As a medium-term model, the new car will be upgraded in terms of appearance, interior, chassis, power, configuration and so on. In terms of power, the pure fuel version of the Panamera 4S still carries a 2.9T twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a maximum power of 450hp and a maximum torque of 450Nm, matched by an 8-block double-clutch gearbox.

According to the official website, Panamera models are currently on sale for 998000-2.501 million yuan. The latest new car insurance data show that Porsche delivered a total of 94700 new cars in China in 2022, an increase of 1.26% over the same period last year, making it the largest single market in the world for eight consecutive years. Among them, Panamera (Panamera) delivered a total of 20800 vehicles, an increase of 28.15% over the same period last year, accounting for 21.96% of Porsche's total sales in China.
