It is decided to recall a total of 78111 Suzuki Vitra 1.4T, Fengzhi 1.4T and Snapway 1.4T vehicles produced during the period from August 22, 2015 to December 25, 2019, starting from April 15, 2023.

The reason for the recall: due to the rubber material performance and design problems of the one-way valve of the brake vacuum pump in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the one-way valve may expand after long-term use, resulting in the decrease of vacuum pump efficiency and the weakening of braking power. The phenomenon of braking hardening may occur in a short time, and the driver needs to increase the braking force in order to achieve the desired effect, so there are hidden dangers.

Solution: Chongqing Lingyao Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the improved vacuum pump for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

Not long ago, Automotive Industry concern publicly reported that Changan Suzuki's Vitra model suddenly received a large number of complaints from car owners, with a total of 141 complaints in the past month, second only to BMW X3, Polar Krypton 001, Crown-Lu Fang and Hanlanda, ranking fifth on the list of complaints due to brake hardening, brake pump failure, brake failure, etc., almost related to the braking system, and the complaint model is basically the 2016 model.

According to the owner of the complaint, the Lingyao manufacturer informed the Beijing 4S store to come into the station for inspection and maintenance, and change the pump on the 21st, but the brakes are harder than before, and the brake strength must be pressed vigorously to brake, girls or those with small foot force, there is definitely a huge hidden danger in stepping on such hard brakes. It is more difficult to start the car in the morning than before, the pedal can not be pressed, resulting in the inability to start the vehicle. There are also complaints from car owners that from flameout to the next departure, the brakes will definitely become very hard, ranging from half an hour to half a day, without touching any parts in the middle. The next time the car starts, it needs to press the brakes very hard. I'm very worried about whether this problem will occur during driving.

It is understood that Vitra is a small SUV under Changan Suzuki, introduced in 2015, equipped with 1.4T turbocharged engine and 1.6L naturally aspirated engine, the price range is 9.98-159800 yuan. In terms of transmission system, the 1.4T model matches the 6-speed manual / 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6L model matches the 5-speed manual transmission.

In September 2018, due to continued losses, Suzuki transferred its 50% stake in Changan Suzuki to Changan Automobile at a symbolic price of 1 yuan. Changan Suzuki changed from a joint venture company to a wholly owned subsidiary of Changan Automobile. Suzuki officially withdrew from China. In December 2020, Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., Ltd. changed its name to Chongqing Suzuki Automobile Co., Ltd. It should be noted that as the agreement between Suzuki and Changan does not end until 2022, Changan Suzuki can still produce, sell and hang models with Suzuki logo, which is why the recall includes models made between August 22, 2015 and December 25, 2019.

In addition to Vitra, the recalled models also include Venturi and Snapway. It is understood that Fengqu is Changan Suzuki based on the new S-CROSS model to build the compact SUV, on December 23, 2013 officially launched, the price range of 10.98-154800 yuan. In terms of power, Feng Control is equipped with a 1.6L engine, which matches a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission. The Fengzhi 1.4T model went on sale on August 27th, with a price range of 13.68-164800 yuan. As for the Snapway, it was the last new car launched by Changan Suzuki before its withdrawal, which went on sale on July 31, 2017 at a price of RMB9.98-159800. As the medium-term modified model of Feng Control, it is mainly aimed at adjusting the appearance, and the power still provides 1.4T and 1.6T engine options.

According to the announcement, the recalled models are all 1.4T models, but with the exception of Vitra, no complaints have been found online.
