It is understood that many new energy vehicles will be tested in winter before they appear on the market, and the performance of new energy vehicles in winter has become the focus of consumers' attention. The general winter test usually includes the vehicle power performance winter calibration, the three electrical performance winter test, the battery thermal management system winter calibration, the body stability control system winter calibration, the chassis winter test, the vehicle environmental adaptability and reliability test and the electronics winter test.

At present, the spy photos of Xiaomi's first model have been exposed on the Internet. The new car positioning car, a total of two versions of the choice, of which the "ordinary version" model price in 30-350000, "more advanced version" model price in 350000-400000 or so. In terms of appearance design, from the exposed pictures, the Xiaomi car is still in the stage of engineering test car with heavy camouflage. The new car will be equipped with lidar in the shape of a hatchback, a slip-back design on the roof and a "spoiler" design on the top of the rear. In fact, the industry has been paying close attention to the progress of Xiaomi car construction since it was announced. According to media reports, Xiaomi's first production model may be named after it, but as of press time, Xiaomi did not respond to the news.

Reviewing the development process of Xiaomi car manufacturing, the progress of its car building is not slow. On March 30, 2021, Xiaomi Group officially announced its entry into the car circle. At that time, Lei Jun was full of confidence in building cars and vowed: "I decided to lead the team myself. This will be the last major entrepreneurial project in my life. I am willing to bet on all the achievements I have accumulated in my life and all my reputation to fight for Xiaomi cars!" In September 2021, Xiaomi Automobile was officially registered as "Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd.". Lei Jun, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, served as the legal representative. On November 27, 2021, Xiaomi officially settled in the Beijing Economic and technological Development Zone. According to the plan, Xiaomi will build a complete vehicle factory in two phases to achieve an annual output of 300000 vehicles, of which the first and second phases will have a production capacity of 150000 vehicles respectively.

Since then, there has been news of Xiaomi building cars in the market, including skepticism. At the beginning of this year, it was reported online that "Xiaomi car building encountered difficulties and Xiaomi car brand did not come down", which was later refuted by officials. Since then, there has been a heated discussion on the Internet about the leakage of Xiaomi's design documents, and then there is news online that the design effect of Xiaomi's MS11 has been exposed, but the exposure also shows that this is a video screenshot used by the internal review, not necessarily the final version.

As for the progress of Xiaomi car construction, Lei Jun believes that it is not too late to mass-produce the first model in 2024. Lei Jun said bluntly: "cars are a century-old racetrack, as long as we are optimistic about the automobile industry, it is never too late." The new force of car building laid out the automobile industry 6-7 years earlier than Xiaomi, but Xiaomi's advantage lies in electronic technology and user experience, and the time of departure in 2024 is just right. At the plenary meeting of the Beijing delegation, Lei Jun said that he spent 1/2 of his time on automobile business, invested more than 3 billion yuan in new businesses such as cars in 2022, and had more than 2300 automobile research and development teams. According to Xiaomi's financial results for the third quarter of 2022, the investment in innovative businesses such as Xiaomi intelligent electric vehicles was 829 million yuan, an increase of 35.68 percent over the second quarter. Xiaomi car-building business invested a total of 1.865 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2022. In addition, Xiaomi's total revenue in the third quarter of 2022 was 70.47 billion yuan, down 9.7 percent from the same period last year, up 0.4 percent from the same period last year; the net loss (loss during the period) was 1.474 billion yuan, compared with a profit of 788 million yuan in the same period last year; and the adjusted net profit was 2.1 billion yuan, down 59.1 percent from the same period last year and 1.7 percent higher than the previous year.

Of course, Lei Jun naturally has high hopes for Xiaomi, which has a huge investment. Lei Jun also revealed that after Xiaomi entered the auto circle, the short-term goal is to enter the first camp of the industry in 2024, and the future goal is to enter the top five in the world within 15-20 years.
