The ranking shows that in 2022, the average score of Chinese automobile brand quality (fuel vehicles) was 178, of which Dongfeng Honda ranked first with 131 points, followed by Jetta, Guangzhou Automotive-Mitsubishi and Volvo, with an average score of 144 for all three brands. GAC Honda and Hongqi both ranked third with 146 points. Judging from the top five of the list, it is mainly focused on Japanese brands, of which the controversy of GAC-Mitsubishi is relatively big. after all, GAC-Mitsubishi's performance in the end market is very average, but the quality ranking is so high. In terms of luxury brands, FAW-Audi performed best among the first-tier luxury brands, with a brand quality score of 156, while brilliance BMW and Beijing Mercedes-Benz performed relatively poorly, with Beijing Mercedes-Benz almost at the bottom. This may be related to the domestic recall of Mercedes-Benz, which recalled 568000 vehicles in China in 2022, much higher than Audi and Mercedes-Benz. In contrast, second-tier luxury brands performed better, with the exception of Volvo, including Cadillac, Changan Lincoln, Chery Land Rover and Chery Jaguar, while Volvo ranked first among luxury brands. it may also be related to its reputation for safety in the industry.

In terms of mainstream car brands, Dongfeng Honda ranks first in the quality of mainstream car brands with 131 points, and it is the only brand that is lower than 140 points, which means that the brand quality is the best. Most familiar brands such as Guangzhou Automobile Honda, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota, FAW Toyota, FAW-Volkswagen, Buick, Chevrolet, Changan Ford, SAIC Volkswagen and so on are also extraordinary, but it is not difficult to see by comparison that the quality of Japanese brands is significantly higher than that of German and American brands. However, joint venture brands such as Yueda Kia, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Infiniti, Changan Mazda, Beijing Hyundai and Jiangling Ford performed relatively poorly, especially Dongfeng Nissan, which can wrestle with Dongfeng Honda and FAW Toyota. The quality of the brands is so different. In addition, Skoda is at the bottom of the list, though Skoda may not be a mainstream joint venture brand.
