The lower shift area is replaced with the latest electronic joystick design to free up more storage space in the car.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.6T engine with a maximum power of 129 kilowatts and a peak torque of 250 Nm. In terms of transmission, it matches the 8AT gearbox.

In fact, Dongfeng Peugeot 408X has been paid more attention in the domestic auto market since its release. According to the official website, Dongfeng Peugeot products currently on sale include Peugeot 408, Peugeot 508L, Peugeot 2008, Peugeot e2008, Peugeot 4008, Peugeot new 5008, etc., of which 408 and 5008 models are renovated in 2022 and are equipped with a new Lion Mark. The new Dongfeng Peugeot 5008 is the second model with a new Lion Standard. It launched a total of 4 models on November 25, 2022, with a price range of 17.87-233700 yuan. The power is only equipped with 1.8T engine, and the 1.6T engine of the old model is cancelled.

Although Dongfeng Peugeot has a large number of models, sales are mediocre. Taking sales in the first two months of 2023 as an example, according to new car traffic insurance data, Dongfeng Peugeot's cumulative sales fell 31.93% to 2863 vehicles compared with the same period last year, of which 1720 were Peugeot 408 vehicles and only 100-odd models. For example, Peugeot 4008 sold 329 vehicles in the first two months, Peugeot 5008 296, Peugeot 2008 260 and Peugeot 508L 156.
