On March 27, Haval brand owned by Great Wall Motor officially named its new energy sales network as "Haval Dragon Network", which means that Haval brand new energy automobile products will adopt independent sales channels in the future to distinguish them from fuel vehicle products. Earlier, Mu Feng, president of Great Wall Motors, once revealed: "This year we will use brand-new, completely independent product channels and brand-new product sequences to do Haval's new energy transformation."

At the same time, Haval brand also announced its new energy series model name, code A07 model named Xiaolong, code B07 model named Xiaolong MAX, among which Xiaolong MAX will become the first model equipped with Great Wall Hi4 technology, while Xiaolong will continue to be equipped with DHT-PHEV insertion system. It is understood that the Haval brand plans to launch seven Haval new energy products this year, including EV models and PHEV models.

According to the declaration drawing and official drawing, Haval Xiaolong adopts the popular closed grille design, only retains the lower air intake, and moves down the position of the radiator grille into one with the bumper. The headlights adopt the "T" shape design. In terms of size, the length, width and height of Haval Dragon are 4600/1877/1675mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2710mm, which is positioned in compact SUV models.

According to the interior spy photos, the overall interior layout of Haval Fierce Dragon is younger, equipped with large size LCD instrument and suspended central control screen. The steering wheel is a three-spoke design and uses a gearshift lever. At the dashboard, Haval is equipped with a wireless charging panel, storage compartment and dual cup holder. The left side is vertically arranged with physical buttons, the front is a one-button start button, and the outer ring is also equipped with orange decoration. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a DHT-PHEV hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor, of which the maximum power of the 1.5L engine is 74kW.

As for Haval Dragon MAX, the front face adopts borderless grille design, the interior is gradually designed diamond pattern, and both sides are equipped with "T" shape headlight group. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4758(4771)/1895/1725mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2800mm, positioning compact SUV. In terms of power, Haval Dragon MAX will be equipped with Great Wall Hi4 technology, providing 1.5L/1.5T hybrid special engine +DHT+P4 motor two sets of powertrain, the maximum engine power is 85kW, 113kW respectively.

In Haval's view, there are three opportunities to enter the new energy vehicle market. First of all, China's new energy market has not yet formed a stable head pattern, so there are huge opportunities for Haval layout HEV and PHEV market; Secondly, new energy mainly penetrates in high-price market at present, and HEV and PHEV models of RMB 100,000 - 200,000 yuan have yet to be fully developed; Finally, at present, independent brands in new energy field have a high status, which lays a good brand foundation for Haval to enter the market.

In August 2022, Haval Automobile officially announced the start of new energy transformation and released a brand-new brand LOGO. According to the plan, by 2025, the sales proportion of Haval new energy models will increase to 80%, and the sales of fuel vehicles will be officially stopped in 2030. At the press conference site, Haval brand released Haval H6 DHT/Haval H6 DHT-PHEV two models, different from the previous Haval Shenzhou DHT and other new energy vehicles, Haval H6 as Haval brand and even Great Wall Motor ace model, its performance will directly affect the success or failure of brand transformation road.

The official announcement of the new energy vehicle sales network name represents that Haval brand will lay independent channels for new energy sales in a large area and accelerate the transformation of new energy. It is understood that the transformation of Haval new energy in 2023 will be divided into two battlefields: the inside line is aimed at the traditional fuel vehicle market of 80,000 to 110,000 yuan; the outside line is mainly aimed at the new energy market of more than 140,000 yuan with brand-new product series and independent product channels.

In fact, since the end of last year, a major adjustment of organizational structure has been started. In addition to Haval, Wei brand, tank, Euler, salon and other brands. Wei brand and tank, ola and salon will adopt dual-brand operation mode, fully integrated in organizational management. After integration, Liu Yanzhao, CEO of Tank Brand, concurrently serves as CEO of Wei Brand, launching high-end new energy and global market; Euler and Salon focus on pure electricity, and Wen Fei, CEO of Salon Brand, serves as CEO of Salon and Euler Double Brand.

On March 22, the salon brand was officially integrated with the Euler brand, and the Salon's Jiarong model was listed on the six Euler APP. Great Wall Motor said that the follow-up salon channel will be aggregated with the Euler channel operation, adopting the authorized dealer model.

After a series of channel adjustments, Great Wall Motors will focus on new energy vehicles this year. It is expected to launch more than 10 new energy vehicles throughout the year, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles will reach 40% to 45%, while the annual sales target of Great Wall Motors is 1.6 million vehicles.
