Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products, according to the announcement. It is decided to recall some imported 2.0T 4xe Rubicon four-door Wrangler and 2.0T 4xe Sahara four-door Wrangler hybrid vehicles from now on, totaling 1604 vehicles. The details are as follows:

I. A total of 1596 partially imported 2.0T 4xe Rubicon four-door Wrangler hybrid vehicles produced from January 14,2022 to May 18,2022; II. A total of 8 partially imported 2.0T 4xe Sahara four-door Wrangler hybrid vehicles produced from May 10,2022 to May 18,2022.

The reason for the recall is that some vehicles within the scope of this recall are installed with incorrect high-voltage battery fuse fasteners, which may cause overheating and fusing failure of fuses, resulting in loss of power of vehicles and potential safety hazards. In view of the above defects, Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the fuses and fasteners for the vehicles within the scope of recall free of charge, and replace the correct fasteners and fuses free of charge if the fasteners installed are incorrect; if carbon traces are found on the fuses and bus contacts, replace the high-voltage batteries free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.

This is Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd.'s second recall of imported Wrangler 4XE hybrid vehicles this year, but for different reasons. On February 20, Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products. It is decided to recall some imported 2.0T 4xe Rubicon four-door Wrangler and 2.0T 4xe Sahara four-door Wrangler hybrid vehicles from now on, totaling 4723 vehicles. The details are as follows: I. Some 2.0T 4xe Rubicon four-door Wrangler hybrid vehicles produced between January 13,2021 and May 26,2022, totaling 391 vehicles. II. Some 2.0T 4xe Sahara four-door Herdsman hybrid vehicles produced between January 19,2021 and August 15,2022, totaling 4332 vehicles.

The reason for the recall is that during the driving process of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the hybrid power control module may lose communication with the transmission control module, which causes the transmission control module to send out the instruction to turn off the power, resulting in the loss of power during the driving of the vehicle, resulting in potential safety hazard. In response to the above defects, Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will refresh the software in the transmission control module, hybrid control module and auxiliary hybrid control module free of charge for vehicles within the recall scope to eliminate potential safety hazards.

According to the data of new vehicle traffic insurance, the cumulative sales volume of JEEP imported herders in 2022 was 7228 vehicles, down 19.89% year-on-year; from January to February 2023, it was 868 vehicles, down 35.08% year-on-year.
