On April 17, Great Wall's brand Wei brand brand new MPV model was officially unveiled. The new car is the first Wei brand MPV product. Officials have identified the new car as "Wei Brand Gaoshan". It is powered by a 1.5T engine produced by Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 115kW and a ternary lithium battery provided by Honeycomb Energy.
In terms of appearance, the appearance design of this debut model is basically consistent with the previous declaration chart. Subdivided, the new car adopts a new style design which is different from the existing model. The front face uses a large-size grille, the interior is decorated with straight waterfall chrome strip elements, and the Wei brand LOGO logo is embedded in the middle. The overall momentum is full, and the polygonal lamp group and grille on both sides form an integration, with a high degree of recognition. In addition, the front lips of the new car and the diversion grooves on both sides are embellished with chrome-plated strips, resulting in a delicate feeling.

The new car will have a seven-seat layout with 18-inch rims. In the rear part, the new car is relatively simple, and the taillight group adopts through-type lamp group and vertical shape design, with bilateral exhaust layout and chrome strip decoration, which makes the overall visual effect more prominent.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5045/1960/1900mm and the wheelbase is 3085mm. As a comparison, Toyota Elfa's length, width and height are 4975/1850/1945mm and wheelbase is 3000mm; Buick GL8 is 5238/1878/1800mm and wheelbase is 3088mm; Teng Teng D9 DM-i is 5250/1960/1920mm in length, width and height and 3110mm in wheelbase. By contrast, the new car surpasses Toyota Elfa in body size, but is slightly inferior to the Teng Teng D9 DM-i in terms of length and wheelbase.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a mixing system consisting of a 1.5T engine made by Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 115kW and a ternary lithium battery provided by Honeycomb Energy.

Among the top five on the list, the most eye-catching sales performance is the Tengli D9, with cumulative sales of 24161 vehicles in the first three months, ranking second in the MPV sales list. In addition, Sena and Gravia launched in 2022 also performed well, with cumulative sales of 18500 and 9700 respectively in the first three months. Chuanqi M8, Ericsson, Pentium NAT and Golden Sea Lion also increased to varying degrees, of which the highest increase was Pentium NAT, an increase of 273.1% over the same period last year.
The debut model is the first MPV product of Wei Brand under Great Wall Motors. Data show that cumulative sales of Wei Brand in the first quarter of 2023 were 3403, a year-on-year drop of 76.18%, including a 73.19% year-on-year drop in March to 1275. Prior to this, Wei Brand has become the biggest decline brand of Great Wall for three years in a row. for Wei Brand, there is an urgent need for Wei Brand to launch a product that can be recognized by consumers to stop the decline in sales.
