The whole car is very classy, and the door handle is a popular hidden design, with three-dimensional wheel eyebrows and dense spoke blackening rims below. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4820/1930/1699mm, the wheelbase is 2820mm, and the positioning is medium-sized SUV, which is the largest SUV model in the Chery family. For comparison, the length, width and height of Ruihu 8 PLUS are 4722/1860/1745mm and the wheelbase is 2710mm.

In the rear part, the new car uses more horizontal line design, which not only broadens the visual effect, but also makes the vehicle more hierarchical, with a through taillight group design on both sides, and a slender strip linked to each other, embedded with the brand English letter LOGO in the middle to further improve the recognition of the vehicle. The new car is also equipped with a large spoiler, and the lower part is a two-sided exhaust layout with chrome decoration.

In the interior part, the new car uses a new design style. The light brown and white color matching is used in the car, while the wood material is used in the central control area, which makes the car more luxurious. In terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with a double 12.3inch double screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a unique return-shaped air conditioning outlet at the bottom of the screen, and simplifies a large number of physical keypads. Only some touch buttons such as multimedia and seat heating are retained, and the gear shift is adopted to make the car look more concise. In the seat layout, the new car offers two options: 5 seats and 7 seats.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with Kunpeng power 2.0TGDI engine, the maximum power is 192kW, the peak torque is 400Nm, and the transmission system matches the seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. In addition to the two-wheel drive version, the follow-up new car will also launch a four-wheel drive version and continue to carry a 2.0T engine, but the transmission system will be replaced by an Aisin eight-speed manual transmission.

According to the official website, Chery's products include the Ruihu series, the Erize series and Oumengda three major product lines, with positioning covering small SUV, compact SUV, medium-sized SUV and compact cars. Among them, the Ruihu series includes Ruihu 8, Ruihu 7, Ruihu 3X and Ruihu 5X models. New car traffic insurance data show that Chery sold 461908 vehicles in 2022, an increase of 12.15% over the same period last year, of which Ruihu 8 sold 107277 vehicles, accounting for 23.22% of the total sales; Ruihu 7 was 50874, accounting for 11.01% of the total sales; Ruihu 5X is 30646, Ruihu 3X is 15896, in other words, Ruihu 8 and Ruihu 7 are Chery's volume models.

According to the latest official data, in the first quarter of 2023, Chery Holdings' cumulative sales increased by 44.1% to 330000 vehicles compared with the same period last year, of which Chery brand sales increased by 38.3% to 238000 vehicles; Jetway brand increased by 94.2% to 52000 vehicles; and Xingtu brand increased by 56.1% to 16000 vehicles. In this regard, Chery Holdings said that the growth in sales is mainly due to the injection of new products. In March, Chery Holdings launched Ruihu 7 PLUS new energy, Ruihu 8 PRO new energy SUV models and brand new Arize 5 GT sedan models.
