The reason for the recall was that due to software problems, the vehicles within the recall scope may have black screen of combination instrument and cannot display necessary vehicle information (such as speed, etc.), resulting in potential safety hazards; In addition, on February 24, the cumulative number of recalls reached 94,000 vehicles, but the models involved included iX3 electric vehicles, domestic i3, i4 electric vehicles, iX electric vehicles, domestic i3 electric vehicles, iX3 electric vehicles, imported 7 series vehicles.

In the list, Mercedes-Benz has also carried out three recalls, with a cumulative recall of 39,600 vehicles. The recalled models are the most popular brands in the list, and their main sales models are basically involved, including imported GLE SUV, domestic EQE, imported C class, CLK class, E class, domestic C class, domestic E class, imported G class, imported S class, some domestic E class, GLC cars, etc., most of which are imported cars, about 31,400 vehicles. Among them, ABS and ESP functions may be affected due to hidden dangers of front axle harness, increasing accident risk. Mercedes-Benz recalled nearly 18,000 imported G-class vehicles; due to insufficient bonding durability between sunroof glass panel and sunroof frame, sunroof glass may be separated from vehicles, Mercedes-Benz recalled nearly 20,000 C-class, E-class, CLK, CLS, etc.

In addition, in luxury brands, Lexus and Porsche also carried out two recalls, Lexus recalled a total of 48,700 vehicles, of which on February 20, due to the improper shape of the upper part of the fuel tank vent pipe shell (resin material), may produce small cracks during use, cracks may gradually penetrate the shell after long-term use. Under the condition of full fuel tank, fuel may seep out from the crack penetration of vent pipe shell, which may cause safety hazard and unreasonable emission hazard. Lexus recalled 22965 GS 250, GS 300, IS 250 and IS 300 vehicles. On March 1, due to improper internal procedures of the front camera in the safe driving assistance system, when the vehicle passes through the road with continuous parking vehicles on the side, there may be differences in target recognition, resulting in an accidental restart of the safe driving assistance system (TSS/LSS+). During the restart period, the safe driving assistance system failed to work properly and there were safety hazards. A total of 25734 imported Lexus NX vehicles were recalled.

Second-tier luxury brands such as Lincoln and Volvo have also been recalled, but the number of recalls is not high compared to first-tier luxury brands.

In addition to the above-mentioned luxury brands, individual independent brands, joint venture brands and imported models also recalled some models. For example, Beijing Automobile recalled 107,500 Shenbao D50, ranking second in the recall list; Changan Suzuki, as a brand that has been discontinued for many years in China, also recalled more than 78,100 of its Vitra, Feng Yu and Xiao Tu models, ranking third in the recall list; In addition, 20,400 imported Volkswagen classic Beetle vehicles were recalled, and more than 12,400 Toyota bZ4X vehicles were recalled. Although these brands recalled only once, the number of recalled models reached ten thousand.

Overall, imported cars in the first quarter of this year are still half of the number of recalls, among which German and European and Japanese recalls are more, in contrast, there are few car enterprises recall in the independent brand camp. Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the association, said earlier that the number of recalls implemented in the first quarter of this year fell 41% compared with the same period last year, and the overall return was relatively stable. Among them, there are many recalls of foreign-funded enterprises, more problems of independent recall, few recalls of new energy vehicles, and no new trend events in the recall of traditional vehicles.

"Automobile recall" means that after the automobile is put on the market, it is found that there are defects in design or manufacture, and there are potential safety hazards.
