Yao Ying is the best-selling soft-top sports car in the history of the Rolls-Royce brand. It was first launched in 2015 and the Black Badge version was launched in 2017. According to officials, Yao Shadow and Phantom stopped taking orders as early as March 2022 until the backlog of orders on the production line was finally completed in May this year.

Up to now, it is not clear whether there will be a successor model after the official suspension of production, but the industry believes that the Rolls-Royce Shadow and Phantom will be filled by Rolls-Royce's first pure electric car, "Shining". This is the first step for the Rolls-Royce all-electric brand.

At the recent Shanghai International Auto Show, Rolls-Royce made its debut in China with its first pure electric car, "Shining". The new car is based on Rolls-Royce's all-aluminum "luxury architecture", positioning a two-door four-seater coupe, followed by an open model to fill the gap in Rolls-Royce's convertible sports car segment.

In terms of appearance, the new car continues the family design style of the Rolls-Royce brand, with a wide front grille with split headlights, and the Parthenon design in the grille to enhance the visual effect of the vehicle. the upper part of the headlights is the slender LED daytime driving lights, and the bottom is the far and near headlights group, the overall visual effect is rich. On the side of the body, the lines of the new car are simple and straight, and the front fender extends back from above the headlights to the door, making the overall body look more smooth. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5453/2080/1559mm and the wheelbase is 3210mm. In terms of interior decoration, the center console of the new car adopts a built-in double screen structure, which is composed of liquid crystal dashboard and central control multimedia display screen, and is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a circular chromium plating air conditioning outlet. The interior is a combination of white, pink and gold colors and the starry ceiling to create a warm atmosphere in the car, equipped with starlight door interior panels, so that the overall tone of the interior is unified. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with double motors, the pure electric mileage under CLTC comprehensive condition is 585km, the total motor power is 430kW, the total torque is 900Nm, and the acceleration time is 4.5 seconds. Officials say the new car is still being optimized, and the final power, acceleration performance and mileage data are still being adjusted.
