In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new design style. The front face adopts a large area grille design, the upper grille adopts a straight waterfall design, a brand-new headlight group style is installed on both sides, and the interior uses a three-point matrix light source plus a horizontal daily light belt design. The classic lion claw daily light is placed directly under the headlamp, which has great visual impact. In addition, the new car carries a new brand LOGO to increase the recognition of the new car. The front bumper is changed from an inverted trapezoidal lower grille to a positive trapezoid, and the front lip is embellished with silver details, making the new car more refined.

On the side of the body, the new car basically maintains the design style of the cash model, but it is optimized in detail, such as the new car is replaced with brand-new rims, including 16-inch low-end model, 17-inch medium car and 19-inch high car. At the same time, the C-pillar of the new car is decorated in a unique way, and the multi-segment waistline makes the new car look more dynamic. In the rear part, the new car taillight also adopts a new design style, using a more flat through light belt shape, and a double horizontal bar six-point red light source is integrated on the left and right sides, weakening the lion claw shape and making the visual effect more harmonious.

In the interior part, the new car continues the current model design style. except for the entry version, the other models are equipped with LCD dashboard, the 10-inch central control screen is also upgraded to the whole department standard, and the GT version will provide interior atmosphere lights in eight different colors.

In terms of power, the new car will be available in gasoline, diesel and pure electric versions, including PureTech 1001.2T, PureTech 1301.2T and BlueHDi 1301.5T, matching a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, in early 2024, the new car will launch a 48V HYBRID power version that matches a six-speed dual clutch gearbox, while the maximum power of the Elysee 2008 motor will be increased from 100kW to 115kW, battery capacity from 50kWh to 54kWh, and WLTP mileage from 345km to 406km.

According to Dongfeng Peugeot's DPCA brand, Dongfeng Peugeot products currently on sale include Peugeot 408, Peugeot 508L, Peugeot 2008, Peugeot E2008, Peugeot 4008, Peugeot 5008 and so on. Peugeot 2008 is a small SUV product of Dongfeng Peugeot, which was officially listed at Beijing Motor Show in April 2008. The 408 and 5008 models will be renovated in 2022 and equipped with new Lion models.

It should be noted that although Dongfeng Peugeot has a lot of products, the performance of model sales is very mediocre. In the first three months of this year, Peugeot sold 4421 vehicles, compared with 1981 for the Peugeot 2008, 1247 for the Peugeot 508L, 1212 for the Peugeot 4008 and 660 for the Peugeot 5008, according to retail sales figures.

DPCA has previously set an annual sales target of 155000 in 2023, and sales may be further boosted as more products are rejuvenated and launched.
