It is understood that Lang Yi Xinrui will be officially listed on June 13, which is lower than the new Lang Yi currently on sale, and the starting price is expected to be no more than 100000 yuan, in order to win more consumers.

As a new member of the Lang Yi family, the new car is not the same as the Lang Yi as we know it. By contrast, the Lang Yi Xinrui is younger and more fashionable. Specifically, Lang Yi Xinrui adopts a more flat and younger design style, the new car redesigns the front face, the black decoration net is connected to the through-type LED headlights, and the front is surrounded by a dot matrix chrome-plated decoration design and decorated with black car paint.

It is worth noting that the rear shape of the new Lang Yi is similar to that of the 2023 Lang Yi, but the internal structure of the taillight is changed, the split taillight group adopts a smoked design, the rear bumper also adopts a new styling style, the LAVIDA logo moves to the middle position on the lower side of the rear door, and the "XR" logo indicates identity information.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4561/1740/1474mm and the wheelbase is 2651mm. For comparison, the length, width and height of Xinlangyi are 4678/1806/1474mm and the wheelbase is 2688mm, while the length, width and height of Santana is 4475/1706/1469mm and the wheelbase is 2603mm. By contrast, the new car is one lap smaller than the new long Yi, that is, the position is lower than the new long Yi, but the whole is larger than Santana.

In terms of power, Lang Yi Xinrui will be equipped with 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, maximum power 81kW, peak torque 141N ·m, and is expected to match 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmission.

The SAIC-Volkswagen brand sold 1.1923 million vehicles in 2022, of which the highest-selling model was the Lang Yi, with 351100 vehicles sold for the year, second only to Nissan Xuanyi, which sold 420700 vehicles in the fuel car market, according to the CAW data. As for why SAIC-Volkswagen launched the lower-positioning Lang Yi Xinrui, it is speculated that it is mainly affected by the new energy vehicle market. It is not difficult to see that BYD will adjust the price of Qin PLUS DM-i to less than 100000 yuan, and will also face the joint venture fuel vehicles, including Xuanyi, Lang Yi, Carola and so on, while SAIC Volkswagen launched the lower positioning of Lang Yi Xinrui, also hoping to retain the fuel car market as much as possible.
