It is decided to recall a total of 16640 Chery Tiger 8 PRO vehicles produced from March 8 to August 18 in 2022 from May 12, 2023.

The reason for the recall is that due to the software problem of the integrated brake controller in the scope of this recall, when the intelligent headlights of the vehicle are in the "auto" file, and the driver frequently operates the far and near light switching and braking, the integrated brake controller occasionally causes intermittent failure, which in extreme cases leads to hard braking and safety risks.

In view of the above defects, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. will check the integrated brake controller software version for the recalled vehicles, and upgrade the vehicles that need to be upgraded to the improved software version free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

Ruihu 8PRO is a medium-sized SUV owned by Chery, and it is also the third model of Ruihu 8 family, in which Ruihu 8 focuses on economy and practicality, Ruihu 8PLUS focuses on luxury, and Ruihu 8PRO focuses on youth and technology. Ruihu 8PRO can be regarded as the sports version of Ruihu 8 PLUS, which is more aggressive in appearance and design. The bottom exhaust adopts different layout according to the power parameters, in which the 1.6T model adopts the double-exit exhaust layout on both sides and the 2.0T model adopts the four-outlet exhaust layout on both sides. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Ruihu 8 PRO are 4745/1860/1745mm and the wheelbase is 2710mm.

In the interior part, Ruihu 8 PRO uses a minimalist design concept, equipped with a 24.6-inch double screen and Chery's first W-HUD look-up display function, the overall sense of science and technology, seats to provide a total of 5 and 7 two major choices. In terms of power, the Ruihu 8 PRO is equipped with 1.6T and 2.0T engines, with maximum output horsepower of 197Ps and 254Ps respectively, matching a seven-speed double clutch transmission.
