Mercedes-Benz continues to win Hall 5 this year, which is also its 10th time to build a brand pavilion at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Grand Bay Area Auto Show.

In Hall 6, BYD will place its Dynasty, Ocean two series of representative models and Tengshi models, looking up at off-road vehicles U8 and luxury cars U9 and other luxury models. On the day of the auto show, BYD released a series of "champion" models, including Dynasty Qin PLUS Champion Edition, Han EV Champion Edition, Tang DM-i Champion Edition, Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition, 2023 Yuan Pro, Ocean Net Seal Champion Edition, and the scene was crowded.

In general, BYD not only shows more cars, but also has more audiences, which is related to its high sales performance. According to the data, BYD's cumulative sales volume of new energy vehicles from January to May 2023 was 1,002,600 vehicles, up 97.63% year-on-year. That is to say, BYD sold more than one million vehicles in the first five months of this year, more than half of last year's total (1,863,500 vehicles).

In addition to BYD, many brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, FAW Audi and AITO are exhibited in ultra-high specifications, almost all of which bring new energy technology models. Among them, BMW made its debut as a new energy model for the first time in major auto shows, including IX1, I3, IX3, XM, I7, I4, IX and X5. Mercedes-Benz also brought a number of newly released new energy vehicles with prices ranging from 400,000 to 1 million yuan. According to the plan, Mercedes-Benz will release six new energy vehicle models within this year. At the auto show site, AITO asked the world to hold the delivery ceremony of the first batch of owners of Huawei high-end intelligent driving version M5. Intelligent driving involves AI, artificial intelligence and many other things, which requires huge investment. Huawei invests 70%~80% in intelligent driving in the automobile field. The investment in this aspect is huge, but the value is also very high, which can greatly improve driving safety and reduce driving fatigue at the same time. It is worth mentioning that a number of models of this auto show also launched a limited time offer. In addition, Shenzhen district governments have also specially formulated car purchase subsidies, such as 150 million yuan in Nanshan District, 50 million yuan in Bao 'an District, 50 million yuan in Longhua District, 30 million yuan in Futian District, 60 million yuan in two rounds of subsidies in Guangming District, 45 million yuan in Longgang, etc.

According to the data of new vehicle traffic insurance, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen City in 2022 was 212,800 vehicles, with a penetration rate of 44.5%, which is one of the cities with the highest popularity of new energy vehicles in China. Among them, during the 9-day extension of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Grand Bay Area Auto Show in 2022, about 41,000 vehicles were scheduled and clinched, with a total transaction amount of about 10.2 billion yuan. Some analysts believe that this year's sales will also be good under the promotion of strong promotional activities.

It should be noted that 2023 is defined as the year of change in the automobile industry, from the "price war" of automobile enterprises at the beginning of the year to various internal volumes of the automobile industry, and this auto show also deeply conveys the future trend of the automobile market. Whether it is the previous Shanghai Auto Show or this Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Grand Bay Area Auto Show, it cannot be seen that new energy has become the mainstream of the auto show, and major brands have also put new energy models in the most prominent position.
