The Buick E4 can be regarded as the sedan version of the Buick E5. It is the second model built by the Buick brand based on the Autenon pure electric platform. In appearance, there are two options: the ordinary version and the GS version. The GS version is actually the sports version of the Buick E4, with little difference in appearance on both sides. Single-motor two-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive version are available.

In terms of appearance, the new car uses a new "PLRE Design" design concept, highly restore the ELECTRA-X concept car design, the overall shape is more avant-garde. The front face is designed with a large trapezoidal closed grille, the interior is supplemented by a black honeycomb shape, a chrome strip is added around the frame, and the headlights on both sides adopt a family split shape and retain the closed middle net design. with the new Buick brand logo, the overall recognition is very high and the movement is full of flavor. In contrast, the length of the new car is reduced by 74mm, the height is reduced by 103mm, but the width is increased by 7mm, and the wheelbase is consistent.

In terms of interior decoration, the shape of the new car is relatively simple, and the functional layout of the center console is similar to that of Buick E5, equipped with EYEMAX 30-inch curved 6K connected screen, built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, of which EYEMAX 30-inch curved 6K connected screen is composed of LCD dashboard and multimedia display, in addition, the new car also has 1.2square meter canopy roof, 121color rhythmic atmosphere lights and other configurations. In terms of power, the Buick Electra E4 standard endurance version is equipped with 65kWh capacity battery, permanent magnet synchronous motor maximum power 180kW, maximum torque 330Nm, CLTC service 530km. The four-wheel drive version of GS adopts the layout of front permanent magnet synchronous motor and rear induction asynchronous motor, with maximum power 211kW, maximum torque 465N ·m, and CLTC mileage 620km.

On April 13 this year, the Buick E5 officially launched, positioning the medium and large SUV, offering a total of five models with a price range of 20.89-278900 yuan. As the first pure electric vehicle based on Buick Orteergy pure electric platform, using the latest Buick LOGO and the latest family design language, except for the Buick E5 Avia with front / rear dual motors and four-wheel drive system, the other four models are single motor and front wheel drive. The Buick E5 sold 318 vehicles in May, according to the data.

Taken together, the Buick E4 is equivalent to the "youth version" of the Buick E5, which is younger and personalized in shape, and may attract some young consumers after the new car. Of course, from the perspective of product positioning, Buick E4 and Buick E5 are highly similar, so Buick E4 may erode the market share of Buick E5 to some extent.

According to the plan, by the end of 2025, Buick will launch five Autor platform models to accelerate the layout of mainstream new energy markets such as MPV, SUV and sedans. As to whether the launch of more models will bring new sales growth for Buick, it is worth watching.
