In terms of appearance, the new car uses a design language similar to that of Deep Blue SL03, featuring simplicity and roundness. The new car is not equipped with a traditional dashboard, mainly with a small-size computer display behind the steering wheel and a HUD look-up display to provide driving information for the driver. In terms of power, as the first SUV of Changan EPA1 platform, the new car provides pure electric and plug-in range hybrid power options. Among them, the maximum power of the pure electric version is the motor of 160kW and 190kW, while the plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 1.5L as a range extender, the maximum power is 70kW, and the maximum power of the drive motor is 175kW.

Considering the positioning and price of the new car, the new car will compete directly with the same level of models such as BYD Tang (price 12.99-169900 yuan), frigate 07 (price 20.28-319800 yuan) and Tesla Model Y (price 26.39-363900 yuan). Changan Deep Blue, a new energy brand of Changan Automobile, was launched in April 2022. On April 23 of the same year, Changan Automobile announced the LOGO of its new brand Changan Deep Blue, and confirmed that the new model "C385" was named after "Changan Deep Blue SL03". In March 2023, Changan Deep Blue changed its name to Deep Blue Automobile. Changan Automobile said: "Changan Deep Blue has been changed to Deep Blue Automobile to make the brand clearer, and nothing else has changed."

So far, Changan Deep Blue has a total of two models, Deep Blue SL03 and Deep Blue S7, of which Deep Blue SL03 is the first model of Changan Deep Blue Brand. It launched a total of four models on July 25, with a current price of 17.99-699900 yuan. As the first model under the Deep Blue SL03 brand, the new car is based on Changan's new EPA1 pure electric platform, positioning a medium-sized sedan and offering extended range version, pure electric version and hydrogen version. The main competitors include Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal.

As the first model of the Deep Blue brand, the extended range version of the Deep Blue SL03 has been endowed with the high hope of "surpassing all the joint venture fuel vehicles, no one". As a new car, the market performance of the Deep Blue SL03 also lives up to expectations. According to the retail data of CIFA, the cumulative sales of Deep Blue SL03 from January to May in 2023 were 31869, of which January to May sales were 6137, 4103, 8568, 6028 and 7033, respectively.

In terms of sales volume, the future performance of the Deep Blue SL03 is indeed impressive. As the second model of the Deep Blue car, the Deep Blue S7 is also the first SUV, which will further fill the gap of the Deep Blue car brand in the SUV market after its launch.
