Zhou said on Weibo: "at around 5 p.m. on April 23, 2019, after meeting my friends in Wenxing Lane, Xi'an High-tech Zone, I was driving BYD Tang DM alone to turn around and leave to pick up the children home. The vehicle I started in pure electric mode just started to switch from P gear to D gear, and before the brakes were loosened, the vehicle began to rush forward quickly, and the vehicle was out of control except the steering wheel. No matter continuously stepping on the brakes or switching gears had no effect. At that time, there were vehicles and pedestrians on the side of the road. I could only control the steering wheel as much as possible to keep the vehicles moving forward, avoiding the traffic and pedestrians on the road and constantly stepping on the brakes to try to restore the brakes. The vehicle sped five or six hundred meters in this state.

Zhou claimed to have been driving for 11 years, driving mileage of more than 100000 kilometers, during which there were no traffic accidents. Zhou raised five questions about this:

1 why brake failure occurs at the start, fast moving, repeatedly stepping on the brakes to switch gears and other operations can not slow down.

2 Why the active braking function that Tang DM has been promoting at the time of this collision also failed at the same time.

3 why the main driver's airbag failed to open after the collision, causing injuries to my face and chest.

4 why the door of the main driver and passenger seat can not be opened after the collision, I can only climb out of the windshield.

5 after the collision, the on-board system was automatically connected to the customer service, and the customer service asked me if there was an accident, and I gave feedback on the brake failure.
