Among them, the vehicles within the recall range because the electric side sliding doors are not prompted in the opening process, passengers (children) may have the risk of being pinched, and there is a safety hidden danger. Jiangsu Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. decided to recall some of the fourth-generation Jiahua cars produced from June 22, 2021 to December 30, 2022, totaling 5297.

In view of the product defects, Jiangsu Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the software program for the vehicles within the recall range free of charge to slow down the closing speed of the electric side sliding door and add the sound of the door switch to eliminate the hidden danger.

It is understood that this is the second time that the fourth-generation Jiahua car has launched a recall due to the problem of side sliding doors. In December 2021, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Due to poor manufacturing of internal parts of the right electric sliding door control assembly actuator, the right electric sliding door was intermittently closed, which made the right electric sliding door open while the vehicle was driving, increasing the risk of falling and injuring the occupants, and there were safety risks. It was decided that from December 24, 2021, the right electric sliding door could be opened. Recall a total of 395 fourth-generation Jiahua cars produced between October 27, 2021 and November 19, 2021.

Kia Jiahua went public in September 2021 with a price range of 28.89 yuan to 339900 yuan. As the first global model after the rebranding of Kia, Jiahua attracted much market attention before it went on sale, and the price triggered a heated discussion in the industry. However, the performance of the terminal market is not good. Yajiahua has sold a total of 2765 vehicles since 2022 and 2260 in the three months after its launch in 2021, while the recall is for models produced between June 22, 2021 and December 30, 2022. A total of 5297 vehicles, almost the total number of models sold during this period.

In addition to Jiangsu Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd., Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd., Volkswagen (China) sales Co., Ltd., Jiangling Motor Co., Ltd. also announced the recall.

Due to the non-compliance of the catalytic converter monitoring part of the vehicle engine control unit software, the failure of the over-aging catalytic converter can not be monitored in time, and the fault indicator (two driving cycles lighting fault lights) will not be lit as expected, resulting in emission hazards, it is decided that from January 10, 20124, a total of 2518 imported G-class vehicles with production dates from June 1, 2018 to December 20, 2019 will be recalled.

In response to product defects, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will eliminate emission hazards by authorizing dealers to upgrade engine control unit software for vehicles covered by the recall free of charge.

Volkswagen (China) sales Co., Ltd.

Due to improper assembly in the production process, the rear seats are not correctly locked into the seat rails. In the event of a vehicle collision, the rear seat may move or deform, which will increase the risk of injury to the relevant occupants, and there are safety risks. It is decided that from now on, some imported Tianyue series cars produced between February 18, 2022 and October 22, 2022 will be recalled, totaling 888.

In view of product defects, the Bentley brand of Volkswagen (China) sales Co., Ltd. will, through authorized dealers, inspect and adjust the installation of rear seats for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

Jiangling Motor Co., Ltd.:

Due to the welding process deviation of some vehicles, the instrument tube beam bracket may be loose, abnormal noise, or even fall off, affecting vehicle handling and safety risks. It was decided that from July 2, 2023, recall a total of 734 Jiangling Ford Leader cars produced from November 13, 2022 to December 5, 2022.

In view of product defects, Jiangling Automobile Co., Ltd. will, by authorizing dealers to inspect vehicles within the scope of the recall, replace the instrument beam assembly for vehicles with welding problems free of charge, so as to eliminate safety risks.
