As a reference, the new generation Accord, which has just appeared on the market, sells for 17.98-258800 yuan, of which 1.5T fuel version sells 17.98-228800 yuan.

Compared with the current model, the new generation of Yingshi school has a larger adjustment in appearance, which is redesigned for the front face and the front enclosure, with a larger hexagonal forward air grille on the front face, supplemented by a straight waterfall design, and a new shape of headlights on both sides. The narrow black headlamp group is connected with the front grille to form an integrated design, and the changes in the front face make the new car look younger and have more visual impact. The headlamp groups on both sides also adopt a new design, with a narrower and longer style, a through heat dissipation and ventilation opening design around the front, and chrome-plated decorative strips on both sides.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new generation of Yingshi are 4979/1862/1449mm, the wheelbase is 2830mm, and the overall size is the same as that of the new generation Accord. As a reference, the length, width and height of the current Yingshi School are 4924/1862/1449mm and the wheelbase is 2830mm.

In the rear part of the car, the new generation of elites adopt the new shape of the taillight group and the rear enclosure, while the taillight group is also relatively narrow and long, echoing the design of the headlight group. The upper edge of the trunk cover is designed with a ducktail shaped spoiler, which is matched with a diffuser around the bottom, which adds a certain sense of movement to the rear.

In the interior part, the new car also continues the simple layout of the new generation Accord, which is equipped with a suspended central control screen, a full liquid crystal dashboard and a three-frame multi-function steering wheel, and a control knob is designed in the middle of the center console. But the shape of the air conditioning outlet is obviously different from that of the new generation Accord. The official interior official map of the new generation of Yingshi e:PHEV models use push-button shift mechanism, fuel version models are expected to use the traditional shift lever shape.

In terms of interior decoration, the new Yingshi school adopts a new design style, but we can still see the familiar upgrading techniques of the Honda family. From the perspective of product development, the time to market of Yingshi School obviously lags behind Accord. On May 20, Guangben's new generation Accord went public, launching plug-in hybrid models for the first time and canceling gas-electric hybrid models with a price range of 17.98-258800 yuan.

As a medium-sized car owned by Dongfeng Honda, Yingshi's most direct competitor is Accord. Accord sold 85343 vehicles in the first five months of 2023, compared with 24909 for the company, which is Honda's best-selling model and ninth among Honda brands, according to the Federation of passengers. In contrast, consumers prefer to choose the authentic Accord. In addition, in the medium-sized car market, Yingshi's main competitors include traditional joint ventures such as Nissan Teana, Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat / Maiteng, which also have a big gap in the market. Camry sold 78455 cars in the same period, while Passat sold 62014.

With the intensification of competition in the domestic market, the life of medium-sized joint venture cars is becoming more and more difficult. As a new replacement model, the new car has been upgraded in appearance and interior, and the plug-in hybrid model has been launched for the first time. Whether this can boost the sales of the elite needs to be tested by the market. It is worth mentioning that just today, Changan Ford Mondeo 1.5T is also on the market, which is also one of its competitors. Its cumulative sales in the first five months are 16762 vehicles, which is not as good as that of the Esquire, but as the price is reduced, it can also affect the performance of the Esquire.
