On July 20, Jaguar Land Rover announced the appointment of interim CEO Adrian Mardell as its full CEO for a three-year term. Jaguar Land Rover has also appointed Richard Molyneux as Chief Financial Officer.

Looking back at Adrian Madell's past work experience, most of his work experience is inseparable from Jaguar Land Rover. Madell has been with Jaguar Land Rover for 32 years and served as an executive committee member for three years. He became CFO in 2019; in November 2022, Jaguar Land Rover's former CEO Thierry Bolloré resigned for personal reasons, and Madell was appointed interim CEO.

"This company has shaped me for the past 32 years, and I am honored to lead JLR on its journey into the future," Madell said of the appointment. In the future, Madell will be responsible for the progress of Jaguar Land Rover electrification.

It is understood that Jaguar Land Rover is accelerating the process of electrification at present. In more than half a year after taking over Bolore's work, Madell will focus on the electrification transformation of Jaguar Land Rover. In April, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it would invest £ 15 billion in electric vehicles over the next five years, with its first all-electric Land Rover model due to debut in 2024 and six all-electric models in the next five years; All models of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands will be available in all-electric versions over the next 10 years; 60% of Jaguar Land Rover's models will be all-electric by 2030. In addition, it is understood that the day before the announcement of the new CEO, Jaguar Land Rover parent company Tata Group also announced that it will build a 40GWh battery super factory in the UK to supply products for Jaguar Land Rover factory, with an investment of more than 4 billion pounds.

At the beginning of June, JLR launched a new logo_JLR, which consists of the acronym "JLR" of JAGUAR LANDR ROVER. JLR hopes that the new brand will eliminate the ambiguity of the previous Jaguar and Land Rover brands. With the launch of the new brand identity, JLR will be divided into four independent brands: Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar, with Range Rover focusing on luxury; Defender focusing on hard off-road; and Discover focusing on creating "lifestyle" crossover vehicles.

Jaguar Land Rover has previously released data for fiscal year 2022/23. Data show that Jaguar Land Rover sold 321,400 vehicles in the full fiscal year, up 9% year-on-year. The Chinese market grew by 17%. Jaguar Land Rover revealed that the company has 200,000 orders, and demand for the new Range Rover, the new Range Rover Sport and the Defender remains strong, totaling about 152,000 orders, accounting for 76% of global order demand.

According to the plan, Jaguar will be upgraded to a pure electric luxury car brand in 2025, electric carriers will be available for all models in 2026, pure electric sales will account for 100% in 2036, and zero carbon emission will be realized in the overall supply chain in 2039.
