It is understood that the new car is the fourth-generation speed model and is expected to debut in November this year. The new car will be available in both hatchback and travel versions, and the power system will be equipped with plug-in hybrid systems in addition to gasoline and diesel engines. According to the plan, the new car will be produced at the Skoda Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic in the future.

In terms of power, the new generation of speed models will provide 1.5T light mixers, 2.0T gasoline, 1.5T mixers and 2.0T diesel models. Specifically, the maximum power of 1.5T light hybrid system is 148 horsepower, the maximum power of 2.0T gasoline engine front-drive model is 201 horsepower, and that of four-wheel-drive model is 261 horsepower; the maximum power of 1.5T plug-in hybrid system (provided only for travel version) is 201 horsepower, battery pack capacity is 25.7 kWh, pure electric mileage is more than 100 km, and DC charging maximum power is 50 kW. The 2.0T diesel engine offers two adjustments with maximum power of 148 horsepower (two-wheel drive model) and 190 horsepower (four-wheel drive model). In terms of transmission system, the plug-in model matches the 6-gear double-clutch gearbox, while other models are equipped with 7-gear double-clutch gearbox.

Although Skoda is one of the four oldest automakers in the world, it was not until 2006 that Skoda began to make China. Skoda became the third brand of Volkswagen Group to launch production in China after Volkswagen and Audi. In April 2005, coach KODA AUTO partnered with Shanghai Volkswagen Co., Ltd., and in September of the following year, the KODA brand was put into production in Shanghai Volkswagen and announced its Chinese name Skoda.

So far, Skoda's models on sale include Mingrui, Xinrui, Komick, Kroc and Kodiak. Before the electric transformation, Skoda will continue to focus on fuel models. According to Skoda's product plan, Skoda will release a new generation of speed pie and Kodiak in the second half of 2023, a modified bright model will be launched in 2024, and a new electric SUV will be launched in the same year. Skoda will launch more new energy models starting in 2025, including three all-electric models in 2026, including a small sedan, a compact SUV and a seven-seat home SUV, with more models to follow. The new generation of Speed School and Kodiak, which will be launched this year, are also described by foreign media as two series of "last generation fuel models". With the replacement of Speed School and Kodiak models, it means that the product competitiveness of the two models will be further improved, but it is worth paying attention to that Skoda is already in jeopardy in the fuel vehicle market.
