From the real car picture of this exposure, the front face of the new car adopts a new design style, the front face adopts large-size borderless intake grille, the interior is supplemented by diffusion lattice shape design, and the brand-new car logo is replaced. In addition, the shape of the new car headlights is more slender, and three LED daily running lights extend downward on both sides, making the visual effect younger while being highly recognizable. Taken together, the front face of the new car maintains the same design style as the new Peugeot 508 overseas version.

The rear part, different from the overseas version of the model, the internal structure of the new car taillight does not adopt the overseas model design style, but is consistent with the models currently on sale. In addition, the original LOGO of the new car has also been cancelled, and the central logo has been replaced by a larger English logo with the word "508L" on the tail, which to a certain extent indicates the extended identity of China, with a heavy rear encirclement and internal rectangular bilateral exhaust, making the visual effect of the new car younger and more sporty.

In the interior part, the previously exposed interior drawings of the new Dongfeng Peugeot 508L show that the new car will continue to be equipped with a larger central control screen and physical buttons on the lower side, but the shape of the shift lever is obviously different from that of the new Peugeot 508 overseas version.

In terms of power, combined with the previous declaration chart information, what appears in the declaration information is the 400THP version with a 1.8T engine, a maximum power of 211hp, a peak torque of 300Nm, and an 8-speed manual gearbox in terms of transmission. As a reference, the Dongfeng Peugeot 508L currently on sale offers three power options: 1.6T engine, 1.8T engine and 1.6T plug-in hybrid.

According to the official website, Dongfeng Peugeot products currently on sale include Peugeot 408, Peugeot 508L, Peugeot 2008, Peugeot E2008, Peugeot 4008, Peugeot 5008 and so on. Peugeot 508L is a medium-sized car owned by Dongfeng Peugeot, which began to be made in 2019. After listing, it mainly competes with Toyota Camry, Nissan Teana, Honda Accord, Volkswagen Passat and other similar models.

Although Dongfeng Peugeot has a large number of models, sales are mediocre. According to the data, Dongfeng Peugeot sold 17286 vehicles in the first half of this year, of which Peugeot sold 7078 vehicles, followed by Peugeot 508 with 3193 vehicles, and the rest sold less than 3000 vehicles. In other words, Dongfeng Peugeot's sales performance is only Peugeot 408.

So can the new Dongfeng Peugeot 508L improve the sales of Dongfeng Peugeot? The auto industry is concerned that even if the launch of the new car is expected to be difficult to reverse Dongfeng Peugeot's sales, of course, given that the official price of the new car has not yet been announced, the market performance of the new car after the final launch remains to be seen.
