A few days ago, Great Wall Holding Group officially signed a contract with the People's Government of Taizhou City, and the Great Wall Motor Vehicle Project with an investment of 8 billion yuan was officially settled in Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone.

It is understood that the initial investment of the project is 8 billion yuan, and the automobile whole vehicle, interior and exterior decoration and chassis manufacturing project will be built in Gaogang District. At the same time, it is planned to implement a complete automobile industry chain system with automobile manufacturing as the core, key parts as supporting services, automobile finance, automobile insurance, shared travel and other businesses.

In March 2018, Chongqing Production Base of Great Wall Motors officially commenced construction, with an investment of RMB 4.5 billion yuan, which can reach an annual output of 160,000 vehicles, mainly producing high-end pickup trucks and Haval H9 models of Great Wall. "On January 8 this year, Great Wall signed a contract with Shandong Rizhao production base again and started construction, putting into production its high-end brand WEY series products, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 units." In addition, the joint venture "Beam Automobile" between Great Wall Motor and BMW Company has also settled in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province.

The Great Wall Motor finalized Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, to further expand the production capacity layout of Great Wall Motor Company.

In 2018, the total sales volume of Great Wall Motors reached 1.05 million vehicles, down 1.6% year-on-year; among them, the sales volume of Haval brand decreased by 10% to 766,000 vehicles, accounting for nearly 73%, and the sales volume of WEY brand was nearly 140,000 vehicles. Great Wall Motor has set a sales target of 1.2 million vehicles this year, saying it is based on macroeconomic developments, overall automotive industry demand and the company's new product launch.
